Welcome to MFP! 🙂 What kind of goals do you have, when it comes to using MFP? (I hear you on that year-kicking thing, especially this year . . . but goals beyond that?)0

My nutritionist said to use MFP to track my protein and carb intake(I don't meet the minimums), I need to stop loosing weight and treat my stage 3 chronic kidney disease by eating a healthy diet. After using MFP for 24 hours I think this site will be a great help.2

I'm glad to hear that it's helping already!
There's a bit of a learning curve, but it gets easier, and quicker, once you get your "recent foods" populated with foods you often eat (so you're not looking up as much, as laboriously), and learn how to use features like recipes and meals. I've been logging for 5+ years now (for weight management and nutrition), and it probably only takes 10 minutes most days, a very worthwhile time investment, for what I get out of it.
I'm not sure whether you're seeking more protein or less (given that it's kidney disease), but if you're seeking *more* protein in your eating, you may find this thread helpful (I sure did!):
