New 👋🏻

Hi y’all.
New here. I used this app back in senior year in high school in 2013 and was successful so figured I would use it again.
I’m now 26 and going to join the law enforcement academy in August. I weigh 186 and want to be 150. I’ve gone from 204 to 186 on my own since about October but it’s plateaued greatly and I don’t want to lose steam.
Nice to see the community and app is still available and kicking ☺️rm0j24b22wui.jpeg

Thank you so much ❤️ I’m beyond excited. Nervous, but mostly excited. It is what I have always wanted to do so I’m just proud of myself for committing.

I did our community’s Citizens Pooice Academy a couple of years ago. It was ten two-hour sessions introducing us to all aspects of our local PD. I was blown away.

If I’d had the opportunity to take it forty years ago, I would have had a completely different career track.

Thanks to you for making it a career calling to serve your community, especially in these fraught times.

Good job on losing the first bit of weight on your own!

I’ve only been here two years, but I’d wager MFP is vastly improved from when you first used it. Holler if you need anything! I think you’ve got this, though!

Thank you! That’s awesome you were able to do that.
Yeah it’s a bit different but in a good way! I’m mostly shocked at how much my wine 🍷 has been bringing me down calorie wise 🤦🏼‍♀️😩😂 there goes that nightly glass. I know a normal glass for most is 5oz but for me it was quite a bit more 😂👀 oh well.

Feeling much better about breaking the plateau today. Added my regular dietary choices to my log and have a good idea of where I went wrong and what I need to be doing. Really thought I was doing better than I was but hey, always room to learn I guess.

As my husband says when I get impatient about many things,”it’s better than it was before”.

It’ll just keep getting better and better if you stay with it.

    Hugs!

I have made slight, as I would have, expected improvements with my weight, had a couple more cheat meal item selections than I wanted to with the holidays. Don’t want to call them cheat days per say since I didn’t throw the whole day away.

But a bigger accomplishment is that I have been alcohol free since Christmas Eve 🙂
Really didn’t think it was bringing me down, but when I felt how hard it was to quit at first I realized perhaps it was more of an issue than I thought. Only had a glass of wine with dinner every night, but when I actually felt antsy at dinner time because I didn’t have it that was a reality check.

I’m much less bloated and slightly less groggy in the morning. I’ll take it. $12 less a week, around 180 less calories a day (I poured a large Cabernet glass lol).
