Not strictly a newbie.....

Hi Everybody,

I'm Wendy from Yorkshire in the UK, and I turned 60 in September last year.

I'm not strictly a newbie, but I've not been on here properly for a few years. I've used this successfully before, losing around 3 stone in weight and became quite fit. All that has gone to pot since I stopped working 2 years ago, compounded by this nasty virus. I've gained 2 stone and its making me miserable.

So I'm looking for some like minded friends so we can encourage each other!

    Hi there,

I am 30 years old and I have been on and off on MFP as well, but I have also managed to loose a good amount of weight whilst tracking on here as well before.

I quit smoking just over a year ago and have gained a lot of weight. I struggle to keep the weight off if I only focus on the weight loss, so I have decided to take a different approach this time. I'm just going to log everything I eat and see if there are any patterns. I find that just knowing that I have to log what I'm eating, already makes me think twice before I eat and how much I eat.

I want to try to become a little active as well. I haven't done any sort of exercise in a long time.

Hope I can also make some friends on here so we can support each other.

welcome to all of you!!! What steps are you taking to achieve your goals? My biggest right now is to quit drinking alcohol for a few weeks and to get to the gym 4 days a week. I could say 6, but when I don't make 6 then I will get discouraged and want to quit.

    Hi,
Sorry I didn't reply sooner - I gave up on anybody replying so haven't been on the forum. Although immolder, I understand everything you've said. Ive lost weight using mfp before, and gained some - typical yoyo behaviour. Now I'm just trying to eat healthily and up the anti on the exercise, without becoming a gym bunny! Ill send you a friend request if thats OK 😁

Hello everyone, I have been on and off MFP a few times always starting and then fading off. I have tried numerous ways to lose pounds but they never work or last. In doing a bit of research the recommendation that keeps coming up is write down what you eat and exercise. So I am back refusing to give up. :)
