Cut out the processed food, that's an easy way to fix the salt issue.

I am on this site primarily to track my sodium intake.
What I have discovered is that Frosted Mini Wheats have no sodium.
I have Frosted Mini Wheats for breakfast and lunch and for breakfast I add low sodium peanut butter.
This leaves me some leaway for a more typical dinner.

Ditto above. The only way to reduce sodium is by cutting out the processed foods! Preparing meals for yourself might seem like a chore but pick one day a week where you shop and prepare for the week to come and then it really isn't so bad. Good luck!

This. BUT, you may find that you're over on your recommend sodium intake anyway. I know I am. Buuut it's because I sometimes overdo the turkey and other salty meats.

look for low sodium options. Things like soups/broth, soy sauce, snacks...etc all have low sodium versions that can help curb your salt intake.

Many fruits and veggies have little to no sodium while in raw form
  • THANKS FOR ALL YOUR IDEAS! I HAVE FOUND THAT OATMEAL, SHREDDED WHEAT AND MALT-O-MEAL HAVE NO SALT AND BY JUST HAVING NO SALT INTAKE AT BREAKFAST I AM BACK ON TRACK. Previously I was eating a sandwich thin with a veggie burger inside, both processed and together almost 500 mg of sodium. Hopefully my weight loss will be back up as I only lost one pound last week and I worked incredibly hard.
