Efficient ways to lose weight

Welcome to MFP,
A good place to start it to go through the guided setup to get a calorie goal, and start logging as accurately as you can. For most people it takes a few weeks and some adjusting to their normal habits to find a way to stick to their goal, but with a little patience and persistance you will get there.
Healthy weight loss is, unfortunately, not as efficient as most of us would like it to be. We see amazing results in shows like The Biggest Loser, but for most people that really isn't realistic. Most people should lose weight at a rate of about 0.5 lbs- 2 lbs a week, over several months or maybe even years.
