I just bought 30 day shred. What do you guys recommend I get for weights? (I haven't done any strength training...specifically upperbody. Should I start with the lightest they sell? (but then I'd have to buy more sets??)

Any other advice for my new 30 day shred experience?

Thank you in advance.:flowerforyou:

Have you ever done any strength training?

If not, I recommend going lighter as in the 1-3 lb.

I am advanced and use the 5-10 lb range depending on the exercise.

A good start for you would even involve using soup cans (yes soup cans)! They really do work.

I used canned goods for the first week, because I didn't have any weights yet. Then I bought 3 lb weights, and that seemed to be good for me.

You really don't need very heavy weights. I use either 3 or 5 lb weights. I thought 3 would be to light but it is surprising how heavy they can get.

I use 2 lb weights with mine. Jillian gives me a major butt kicking all by herself without the weights. Remember not to overdo, that can result in injury and we want to be healthy!:flowerforyou:

I liked it !! I felt sooo energized afterwards. Then next day my shoulders and hamstrings were a little sore not bad... the next day they really hurt. But I think it is doing the trick! I had been on a plateau and today I lost 1.1 lbs!!! Yay!!!:drinker:
