Joining back because of my plateau weight

Does anyone else just get stuck at one weight? O'm 5'8 and my plateu weight is 170lbs.I could go up to 200lbs and come back to 170 in 2months but never go down from this.
I have gained and lost weight many timea because I have hormonal disorder PCOS.But I just get stuck on this frigging weight I don't know why.
Would love to have some insight and buddies in the same boat.

How's your tracking? It sounds like, if you are going up and down by 30lbs, you may not be entirely consistent with staying in a deficit, or tracking accurately. Plateaus aren't really anything to worry about if you are remaining in a calorie deficit the whole time, as despite the weight on the scale not moving for whatever reason (water retention, fiber in your guts etc etc) you will still be losing fat, which will eventually show up on the scale. Make sure you stay consistent and weigh everything - eyeballing and measuring by tsp/cup etc makes it VERY easy to eat more than you actually think you are eating. Good luck3

I gain weight super easily.It's mostly the 10lbs which I gain and lose.I went to my parents hoyse for 12days and didn't count calories there.I gained 10lbs in those 12days, just lost those and now I'm back at 170 which is the lowest number I ever see.
Would love to have some motivated friends and will see how it goes this time.1 -

Important to realise that 10lb gain in 12 days wasn't a gain of 10lbs of fat - you didn't eat 35,000 calories over maintenance. I can gain at the same rate on holidays/vacations and most of it isn't fat and the remainder that is fat just needs eating lower for a while to compensate. What you mustn't do is get discouraged and give up. Also very important to accept that the process must work over an extended period of time - if you are in a genuine deficit you MUST lose fat. Ignoring short term blips and developing a long term view will help you enormously.
My weight was stuck at an overweight plateau for 20 years.
I resolved it by logging my food completely and consistently and eating at a suitable calorie deficit for a few months.
Not easy but it was simple.
I’ve now been in a "happy plateau" for over 7 years maintaining at goal weight.

My body looses weight when I'm i severe defecit because of my hormonal issue.I'm blessed to lose weight though as many ladies with PCOS complain about not loosing at all
I count my calories and honestly when I write what I eat that's when I realize that I might be eating less cals but llre carbs which isn't good for my PCOS.

You lose fat when you are in any kind of deficit from your maintenance calories - no matter how small that deficit is.
Just the timescales change and measurement of that change becomes harder to plot as it can be masked by water weight fluctuations.
It's not so much you should listen to me but the cold hard facts behind energy storage and use. Energy cannot be created out of nothing as you no doubt know, medical conditions can change what your actual maintenance value is compared to others and cause difficulties in tracking fat loss but they can't change that underlying fact.
Between the extremes of "severe deficit" and letting your weight rebound back up is the sweet spot you need to find and stick to. Best of luck.2
