Skinny cheeks?

Anyone worry their wrinkles will show more when their face is thinner?

I haven’t. But I have heard, from others on this site, that it gets better. Like you lose and get wrinkles, but they get a little better with time as your body evens out. 🤷♀️5

just make sure you wear sunscreen and eat enough healthy fats, don't let your weight fluctuate too much to age the most gracefully you can5

Loose skin is a thing, but if you wait 18 months, it improves (plastic surgeons will tell you this). I also have an IRL pal who lost 7.5 stone (105 lbs or 48 kg) and she waited 18 months, only her legs seem to have the most loose skin, her face, arms and even belly are pretty awesome now....I have loose skin on belly (two adult kids, so preggo twice) at 46 and I have not lost shed loads, but will wait it out....3

Not so much my cheeks, but my neck! When I lost weight and an extra chin or two, what remained were a whole lot of wrinkles on my neck2

Nope, health was my big driver in losing weight.
My face did look different during my weight loss period but the skin recovered after a while at maintenance.
A (fat!) friend said (very inaccurately!) that I had lost too much weight and a few months later said she thought I looked so much better now I had regained some weight - I hadn't.7 -
Unfortunately, I have noticed my nasolabial fold wrinkles after I lost about 8 pounds (Marionette lines, I think they're called). I'm 44 and do take good care of my skin, but unfortunately in my late teens and part of my 20's didn't so much. Even though part of me thinks "I wonder if I could lose 5 more pounds" (though well within the healthy weight range for me), the other part doesn't want those wrinkles to show up more! It is a trade-off, and wouldn't gain the weight back just to try to gain a bit more fat there. I have looked into injections there, but as I'm not working as much right now that's not really in the budget. The treatments I use are retinol, glycolic acid (alternating) and hyaluronic acid and I believe it's helping some, as well as time.4

Right there with you! I knew that I would start having loose skin during the process of losing weight, I just wish it was somewhere less "face-adjacent". It bugs me every time I see it in the mirror. Then I remind myself of the trade-off, and realize that no amount of wrinkling anywhere on my body is justification for gaining back the 70 pounds I've lost already. I've still got a ways to go in my weight loss journey, and this isn't going to be the thing that sets me back.8 -
I have been reading about how collagen supplements (taken within reason) can help with skin elasticity after losing a significant amount of weight. As others have noted here, it also just takes time for your body/skin to respond. Good skin habits like using sunscreen, regular moisturizing, and keeping your water intake up are also probably helpful.4

Glad you brought this up, don’t even trip, I used to be super worried about that, cause I have the puppet lines, researched all that, stressed, etc. But I ws like f it, I wanna be thin, if I get a hot body I can get away with an ugly face. Turns out the folds and wrinkles did get worse, but then I lost some more weight and they got way way better (better than when I was heavier).7

nope. If losing weight means living long enough to have skinny cheeks, I'm calling that a win.8

If you take care of your skin correctly, wrinkles can be minimized. I'm not ashamed to say I use retinol, hyaloronic acid and a good night cream every night before bed. I get compliments all the time that I look 40 rather than 57.

Lotion while you lose. That's what I'm doing because I am concerned with potential wrinkles.4
