View from my back deck, fresh snow this morning. I’m feeling a bit defeated started fitness pal 2 weeks for the 3rd time. Been tracking my calories, 1200 walking 2 x per week. The scale isn’t budging 🙄 . What am I doing wrong, I’m 5”2 and weigh 215😢 need to lose 70.

Good job so far! Weight loss isn't linear. Water weight could be masking fat loss.

My first question would be "how do you know you are eating 1200 calories?" Do you use a food scale to weigh everything, and log it all, no skipping, cheating, or forgetting? If not, I'd start there.

Hi there! I’m originally from across the river in Vermont, now living California. New Hampshire captured my attention, but we have similar stats. I’m 5’2”, restarted this most recent time at 205#, now down to 197#. I am aiming for 1200 kCal/day and am having luck so far in the kitchen, but not in terms of exercising.
When do you take your walks? Do you fit them in before work, at lunch, or after work? Do you vary your route? Are you drinking enough fluids?

If you open your diary we can offer more advice. You may be eating more than you think you are.
That said, it can take several weeks for the scale to move. Patience and being stubborn are what win in the weight loss game. Scales do not move for many many reasons, and often how much you are eating (if you are truly under maintenance), has nothing to do with it.
I'm 5'1, 43 years old, lost 130 pounds 5 years ago, gained back 50 over the past 2 (mostly over 2020 lol), and am back to lose the weight again. :P I eat 1500 calories per day and still lose at a steady rate.
