I usually just find an entry for rotisserie, thigh or rotisserie, breast. There are entries in the database for legs and wings too - with or without skin.

It's a lot of trouble to try to break it down, so maybe just find a "half chicken, roasted" and use a percentage...?

    I dunno, it's not a perfect science.

theres an entry in the database

Whole Broiler Chicken (Usda) - Whole Broiler Chicken

    Servings:

    Calories 160 Sodium 60 mg
    Total Fat 7 g Potassium -- mg
    Saturated 2 g Total Carbs 0 g
    Polyunsaturated -- g Dietary Fiber -- g
    Monounsaturated -- g Sugars -- g
    Trans -- g Protein 22 g

Yeah, well that broiler chicken doesn't state a portion size, but I'm guessing that is a mixed portion of both...maybe 100g portion?

That isn't a lot of help. A whole chicken? Is that a 1.5 pound chicken or a 3 pound chicken?

Regardless, 160 calories and 7g fat probably is a mix and skinless.

if you bother to pull it up it does give a serving size.

i imagine its an average of all of it but in your own words " it's not a perfect science. "

if you don't want to weigh the portions from the various parts of the chicken, I would go with this entry

Chicken, broilers or fryers, meat only, cooked, roasted

thank you everyone for the replies much appreciated . we have decided to just buy chicken breasts in future make it simple . More disapointed for our 2 dogs which as a healthy treat they used to eat the skin and any left overs (not the bones) .

Basically it will also stop the temptation to ' pick ' at the left overs
