hello, does anyone know if this HRM works without the strap to check heart rate like when you are not exercising?

    I just bought it the other day and I dont think you can. I just read over the book and there was nothing in there stating that you can check your HR without the strap.

    I finally just figured mine out...I have the New Balance HRT fit Komen; without the strap.

    Place your thumb and forefinger at the top and bottom of the face of the watch (There are sensors there.) for 3 seconds then it will read ur heartrate
