Hello, and welcome!
There are some great groups & challenges discussed over in the "Motivation and Support" or "Challenges" parts of the forums. Those can be a great way to connect with people of similar outlooks, or with similar goals.
Wishing you much success here on MFP!1 -
Hi, Honey. Welcome to MFP!
Have you entered your stats and come up with a goal, and a plan to get there? How do you see yourself achieving your goal?1 -
Thank you for the warm welcome. Looking to loose about 100lbs. I invested in a program with sculpt Nation. I have a custom meal plan and nutrition coach for 1st 30 days. I feel I can stick with most the items on the plan. Adding work out is where I would struggle most.
I know I need a network around for accountability, feel free to add me1 -
I was not familiar with Sculpt Nation, so had to Google.
I’m going to say this as gently as possible. Please, please don’t infer any criticism or judgement. I’m coming from a place where I was over ninety pounds heavier, so I have no business casting stones at glass houses and all that.
When you become disillusioned with their program, which you will, please don’t give up. Stick it out here at MFP.
MFP is free, results are achievable, no one wants in your pocket, and we are all sincerely rooting for one another’s success. But, you’ll get out of it what you put into it.

Read these forums and educate yourself over the next month. Weigh and log your food, get an honest idea of what your consuming.
Enter your starting weight, height, activity level and goal weight on the goals page. Get some friends, if you think it will help. Weight loss is a lonely process. Your friends, spouse, kids, they don’t want to hear about it. We here on MFP do, and are interested.
Make yourself a nice profile pic-more likely to obtain friends than with a blank pic.
Read the Success Stories threads, especially the NSV thread (non scale victories). That one is beyond motivational. Start at page 1.

Take photos and measurements on day 1, so you have something to compare yourself to and remind yourself what you’ve accomplished on those bad days four, six, twelve months down the road when you feel the “weight” of the journey, and temptation is pulling you down.
Give yourself sixty days of honest time and effort to see results.
It’s not required to exercise. You can lose weight simply eating fewer calories than you burn.
I’d suggest to start by walking. There was a wonderful post here from a woman who started counting phone poles. Every day she’d add another phone pole til she got her distance up.
For me, I found that once I started doing things, the desire to do more things happened til it snowballed and one day I woke up and realized I was doing many things.
Sending you a friend request FWIW. You may find me to be a whiner or dull, or spending waaaaay to much time talking about food lol.
