Thank you everyone for your kind words of support.
Friday really was a bad day. Not only did my aunt die. My treadmill decided enough was enough and stopped working. Then I got a call from my daughters school saying that she had a bad fall and was in a lot of pain. Got to the hospital only to be told she’s broken her elbow. So this weekend I’ve been pretty much eating at maintenance and I changed my workouts to Leslie sansone workout videos and going at a slower pace as my knee is acting up a little. Not expecting much of a loss this week weight wise. Despite everything that’s happened I’m determined to keep with this journey even if it means eating at maintenance and not overeating, that in itself is a huge acheivement in my books.12 -
@mumof6sv Oh goodness, when it rains, it pours! I hope your daughter's elbow heals quickly. I love that you're proactively saying "I'm switching to maintenance" and not "I'll get back on the wagon when life stops happening," because life sure has a way of happening, doesn't it? You're right, it is a huge achievement, and this internet stranger is proud of you.6
-
@mumof6sv “I’m sorry” let’s you know I care but just doesn’t cut it some days, does it? Sending you a giant socially distant hug—the only kind I want from a stranger. I hope your daughter is healing quickly for all of your sakes, as well.
Life has been trying to take the mickey out of me for a few years now, with one death after another. Oddly enough, now that my beloved, vibrant, always-younger-than-me mum is coping with cancer and I’ve upended my family’s lives to be at her side, fitness has become my sanity and lifeline. May you find something equally useful to calm and center you on those extra rough days. With love.6 -
@mumof6sv So sorry to hear of the loss of your aunt. Your poor daughter, that must have been so sore! Goodluck with maintaining and sticking to walking,I've done 100s of leslie's videos on utube they work!!

@pearsonlinda30 I'm sure everyone on this thread can relate to drowning their anxiety with food!! Hope your next meal went better and you are back on track with your plan x

Ok. I was initially a little upset since my weight this week has been all over apparently. I did do all my measurements and I have lost 1.8inches in my waist since 2/6/2021 (the last time I measured). I almost did not update my stats because I just could not understand what is happening, but, I promised myself that I would be completely honest with my journey regardless of what is happening, that way, I can keep tracking how my body is reacting to things. So to anyone that this has happened to or that it is happening to, you are not alone.
I am now, going to continue studying for my midterms (all week long), I will keep tracking and doing my workouts while getting in my steps to meet my step goals and see what this next week brings.
Have a great week everyone. I will catch up with you all after my midterms.

Frustrated as mid-month has come around, and February is short so almost over now. I have not been doing so well. I am tracking what I eat and I go over almost every day. I want to be healthier just have a hard time doing it. along with not exercising I say I will do it I put it on my to-do list but doing everything but that. Any advice on jump-starting the motivation and the will to actually be healthier. Nearing 300 pounds you think that would be all the motivation needed. Instead, I feel like at times I just give up and am happy with the way I am. Even though deep down I know it is not normal to be this heavy, I feel it in my feet at times and other things that make me feel unhealthy. So another week down and at it again this week with the hope of making changes needed. More exercise, eat less, drink more water.8
-
@uyister - I've gained 8 pounds in 3 days. It's totally normal. Usually, the spikes are from:
1) Eating more carbs than usual
2) Being stressed, sleep deprived, injured or sore (physical and metal stress causes water retention).
3) Eating more salt than usual
4) Being constipated
The weight always, always, always comes off if I have a couple of low carb days, get a good nights sleep, and drink a lot of water.
Just relax and try not to let the weight spike get to you. Your whoosh will come.6 -
Weigh in on Saturday down 2 lbs even after a tough week at work. I'm on a staycation this week, puttering around painting and putting our house back together, from a recent window replacement project. We moved into my childhood home ayear ago and it has needed a lot of updating. So our lives have been Topsy tervy or in complete disarray for at least a year. We are on the downside with only a few major projects left. Goals for the rest of February keep tracking, start exercise on the 1stof march.7

Today is weigh in day.
I started Jan 1st at 265 lbs
Jan 15th - 260 lbs
Feb 5th - 252.8 lbs
Feb 14th - 251.4 lbs
Feb 22nd - 251 lbs
Not a big loss this past week, but still a loss.
I struggled with my water a few days the past week, and that probably has something to do with the small loss. A couple days I struggled to get all my calories in too.
This week I will be better.
On a good note I have not missed a day logging my food and excersize.
This weeks goals
Drink my water
Make sure eating enough and healthy.
Try to get good night sleep(struggling with that too).
Have a great week everyone!
Stay safe and healthy.6 -

@pearsonlinda30 Aren't renos fun lol. We are currently doing a few at our place too, my house is looking so unkempt, drives me crazy. Today we have a contractor coming to give a quote on a new roof, dreading that quote, but it's needed.
Have fun with your renos.2 -

Hi everyone, HONESTY ALERT
Did my much needed second reset
I have been faithfully logging everything
Ate over in sodium yesterday and felt it in my rings
Did a proper weight in ( two feet on the scale , no leaning and readjust my ACTUAL Weight
( which is higher by 8 pounds)
So adjusted it on my page:
SW 230
2/22 221.8
2/28 ?
I am committed to the long game, including having breakthroughs in where I am at. The old me would have given up if I did not see progress hence the need to 'help the scales"
Something liberating to say nope you got this Vic ! Press rest and GO!
NEW end of month goal
220.8

MSW- 249.0 (1.31.21)

Disappointed in this small loss since I decreased my calories from 1500 to 1200 this past week. Frustrating but I'll take it.7 -
Height: 5'7"
Highest Weight: 254
2/1: 239.3
2/8: 238 (-1.3)
2/15: 238 (nada)
2/22: 237.5 (-0.5)
Feb Goal: 235
End of Year Goal: 190
UGW: 160
I was very surprised to see a loss this morning given that I should be starting TOM in a few days and feel like I'm up about 10 lbs. Ha! I'll take it though and this makes me realize that if I stick to it this week, eat within calories and get all my water in, I could potentially still meet my Feb goal! Really though, any loss for February will be great since this is one of the hardest months of the year for me and the weather has been really crappy. Today and tomorrow will be really nice though. Going to get some extra walks in with my pup!
Have a great week, all!6 -

UGH hormonal weight gain is tough. Backlashed over the weekend as having the gain all week and no fun of it broke me this weekend a bit. Not real bad eating and certainly not enough for the gain, except maybe 1 real lb. Looking at things I can tweak this week but otherwise gotta take it in stride and keep stepping forward.7
