Sounds good! I'd like to try it. (It reminds me of a dessert I had while living in San Antonio, Texas for a couple of years. While there, I discovered a restaurant named Crumpets which had a dessert called Crumpet's Delight. It consisted of a layer of génoise sponge cake covered with a vanilla custard, with lady fingers arranged around the edge, then filled with strawberries and whipped cream. A crunchy sugar glaze was drizzled over the lady fingers. The contrasting flavors and textures made for a delicious dessert!)

Based on past experience, I'd have to say "Yuck".
But then, I didn't even like ginger back then, so perhaps it's time to give them another try.
