10-YEAR Anniversary using MFP

Ten years ago today I installed an app that changed my life. I've continued to log in every single day since.
I had carried lots of extra weight for over twelve years and yet that first year on mfp was dramatic and incredible—and honestly not that difficult (certainly not as hard as I expected)! Over eighty pounds lost within a single year!! And while I've definitely gained and lost weight back over the last decade, even at my most lax and indulgent, I've never gotten as heavy as I was when I started.
I'm currently 55 pounds down from where I was ten years ago today. CICO works, I'm living proof of it. When I slip up and don't count my calories, that's when I start creeping back up. Almost all of the spikes in my history are times when I was still logging in daily, but not actually adding in my calories.
I made this part of my life and it's helped me have structure, eat more mindfully, have a much better sense of portion control, and something that keeps me accountable. I'm still finding ways to improve and encourage healthy eating habits and mfp is still part of that.
Thanks myfitnesspal!

That's impressive, well done!
You made me look... My first recorded weigh-in was Nov 15, 2010 @ 250.0 lb. I certainly can't say that I've logged in every day -my current streak is 48 days. When I was doing P90X 5 days/week and eating super clean, I recorded my lowest ever weight of 219.9 on Feb 19, 2012. Not sustainable for me in the real world, at 7% body fat -and still obese by BMI. I stopped doing both, and had a heart attack 2 years later at age 49 (damned genetics don't help!)
Jan 8 this year I went to the doctor, stepped on the office scale, saw 282.2 lb, and said to myself, "Not cool. Time to get serious again" and I've logged in every day since then, faithfully logged my calories in vs calories out per my Garmin Fenix 5. Target deficit of ~750 cal/day. I've been doing reasonably well at hitting that or getting close enough. Bought a used trainer, dusted off my old road bike and started trying out Zwift, Peloton and Rouvy. Yesterday I upgraded to a used smart trainer, and I'm looking forward to the weather getting warm enough to ride outside. This morning I was 262.9. So 19 lbs in 7 1/2 weeks or 2 1/2 lbs per week, right on target with the goals set in MFP!
My stated goal is to get under 250 lb. My stretch goal (which to be honest, and I can admit here, is my REAL goal) is to get under 240. And stay there! The one thing I've never done in 11 years on MFP is log in to track CICO for maintenance. I'm planning on doing that going forward. I'm tired of the yo-yo. My doc told me that I had a 3-fer qualification for the COVID vaccine due to an asthma diagnosis, my cardiac history, AND my weight was sobering. I have a 15 y.o. who is a cancer survivor, don't want to leave him behind... I've since had my first vaccine dose.
