Something crunchy

Hello everyone! I've been on here since May 2020 and I have lost over 40 lbs. Right now I am in dire need of inspiration and motivation in order that I do not fall backwards. I still need to lose 10 - 20 lbs. Can anyone suggest something crunchy, tasty and nutritious for me to snack on other than pretzels or crackers?

Off the top of my head: Carrots, bell pepper slices, pickles, cucumber, toasted seaweed, and apple slices. Some of these, of course, are more nutrient dense than others.3

Chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) can be baked in the oven and they take on a delightfully crunchy texture. You can flavor them all sorts of ways, too. My usual method is as follows.
Ingredients- 1 can of chickpeas
- About a tbsp of olive oil
- A couple tsp worth of your choice of seasoning - see below for examples
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Drain and rinse your chickpeas. I peel them because I think they taste better without the skins, but you absolutely don't have to, this will still work.
Put the chickpeas in a bowl along with about a tablespoon or so of olive oil - usually about 10-15 grams. Season however you want; here are some ideas:- Spicy Southwest: chipotle, cumin, garlic powder (omit the chipotle for just Southwest)
- Cinnamon Roll: cinnamon and sugar
- Hearty Italian: garlic powder, dried oregano
- Pumpkin Spice: pumpkin spice mix (clove, cinnamon, ginger, allspice), sugar
- Curry: garam masala/your favorite curry powder
But really, you can use whatever. Most herbs and spices have basically negligible calories, and you're going to use maybe 2-3 grams of any given one, max. Obviously watch out for the sugar if you choose to make a sweet batch; if you go that route, I would use either neutral vegetable/canola oil or coconut oil instead of olive.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread your seasoned chickpeas out in a single layer. Bake for about 20-30 minutes, until they reach your desired level of crunchiness. Start checking after 15 minutes or so and stir them around a bit so they all cook evenly.7 -
Popcorn - put it in a glass bowl with a plate on top and put it in the microwave. You can have so much for so few calories depending on what toppings.6

Pistachios aren't super crunchy but they hit the spot for me anyway, and it takes time to crack them open so that helps too. They are not super high calorie like peanuts or almonds.3

Granola, can be sort of calorific But I get the extra protein one.1

Air fried carrots. As fries or those ripple cuts you can get in a bag. Almost no calories and crunchy. For a bonus pop toss them with ranch *seasoning* powder.
And you said besides crackers but that .5 tsp of ranch seasoning tossed with oyster crackers for an extra 5 calories? Totally delicious.2 -

I'll make kale chips in the oven anytime I've just got the snackies. Sunflower seeds in the shell are also good, takes a long time to eat, feels like you are eating more than you are, the only issue is the high sodium if thats a worry for you.1

Baby carrots
Sugar snap peas (I buy the huge bag and portion them out into snack size baggies so they don't lose their crunch)
Dare Veggie Crisps (not super low calorie but better than potato chips)1
