Weight loss on antidepressants

Options
Hi there.

I'm on Lexapro and it's affecting my ability to lose weight. Does anyone have any tips to lose weight or make it easier to stop eating lots of food or ignore hunger pangs. Please any advice would be great.

I've been on Lexapro since August of last year, and I managed to get to my goal weight about 6 weeks later. However, I do notice I feel "hunger pangs" more frequently than I did before taking it. I don't know, though, if it's true hunger or just stomach rumblings. I do think my cravings have subsided, though, so that's good news.

I still track diligently so I'm aware of what I'm eating, and that helps keep me on track. I also drink lots of water, including flavored carbonated beverages, chew gum, and will snack on non-starchy vegetables if I still feel hungry and it hasn't been that long since I've eaten. I have always planned out snacks anyway, and I make sure my meals have a good balance of protein (usually at least 25 g), fiber and some fat to keep me fuller longer.
