Google fit and MFP overestimate calories burnt

Hi. I'm new to logging everything and I'm enjoying it. However, I'm confused by the amount of calories MFP adds via my Google Fit app whigh logs my steps, walking, running, cycling etc. The calories added seem quite generous so that my total suggested calorie consumption for the day ends up pretty high for a few 5 minute cycles and a 5k walk for example. Does anyone else find this?
Also, it seems to log some walks and not others. Is this because it adjusts steps according to what activity level you have set as your standard, base level ie it only logs walking on MFP if you've reached a moderate amount of walking already if you're listed as lightly active?
Thank you

Google fit should send your workout information over to MFP. If you are also logging it into MFP you may be double logging your exercise.0

Only logging it in Google fit but it sometimes doesn't seem to tally0

The calories added as an Adjustment is for whatever the increased daily burn was from - be that the exercise you listed or daily activity.
Have you ever taken what Google Fit says your daily burn was minus the final eating goal MFP gave you?
Was it the selected deficit you wanted for fat loss?
Provide some numbers or screen shot - press and hold on that MFP Exercise Diary line about Adjustment to see more details about it.
Are you asking of MFP logs some walks or GF does?
MFP doesn't adjust steps anyway, it's only about calories.
Your estimated daily calorie burn MFP has set includes avg daily life for whatever level you selected - so of course that includes some walking around. So yes some walking calories are in there.
So indeed some walking around calories don't count until you burn more than selected activity level was expecting.
Lightly-Active excepts more calories burned - so you have to be more active to get more Adjustment to show up.
You should also enable in MFP Food settings option for Negative calorie adjustment - for when you are less active than expected.
Life lesson there for weight management - you eat more when you do more, and you sure better eat less when you do less.
Once you see how the numbers fit together, the only thing left is discerning if the exercise calorie burn by GF is good estimate, or inflated.2
