Frustrated but still motivated

Hi, everyone! I'm 51 and can't seem to lose weight so here I am. I am hoping counting my calories will help me achieve my goal. I am a new diabetic, so it will also help me keep track of what goes into my mouth! Here we go!

Counting calories has certainly worked for me and I am 57 now.

I am 64 and have been on My Fitness Pal for over 100 days. Lost 24 lbs. during that time. Stay with it.

Unfortunately it does take time but if you stick at it and try different things you will get there. Good luck.

Weight loss with diabetes is (I hear) an extra challenge. Counting calories will work, but managing your blood sugar and apatite is key. Expect some extra hunger pangs when you first cut your intake. It gets better after a week or so! Advice of a nutritionist with specialty in diabetes could be very helpful.
