Net Carbs

Hi! This may be addressed somewhere else, but I'm not able to find anything about it. When I add to my food diary, the Total Carbs value is the only one that is counted. Is there a way to post the Net Carbs value? in some foods there is quite a difference and it adds up
Thank you in advance.

Just checking: in what country are you? Some countries already have net carb nutritional labels.
Aside from that, net carbs is a premium feature (and only available in some countries).0 -
You need premium MFP to use the net carbs feature. Do you have premium?0

I am in the US, and the net carb value is shown on the product labels, but not in the MFP app. I do not have the premium MFP but I guess I will get it now. Thank you all for replying!

I'd suggest you find where the MFP documentation describes the feature, and make sure it does what you'd want, before paying the $$. (I'd give you a link, but I don't know where the documentation is - though I know it exists. I don't restrict carbs, really don't pay attention to them at all, so haven't used that feature myself, through a year of weight loss and 5+ years of maintenance since.)1 -
If you want an option to getting premium MFP, just switch sugar or sodium in your diary for fiber. Generally, total carbs minus fiber is net carbs. You could subtract some percentage of sugar alcohols too, I believe, but I wouldn't expect one should be eating so much sugar alcohols that it would make a big difference. For specific foods you could also just include them in the notes section and then subtract that too.
It's also possible to search for net carb entries or create your own custom entries (which will then be in your recent foods).2 -

If i create "custom" entries, can i change the carbs shown (total) to what i want to see (net)?0 -

Yeah, that's why you would do it. Entries from Europe and Australia are already like that.1
