Weekend oops

Hello everyone
I need help keeping motivated to eat healthier and keep in the workout routine on weekends. I am fortunate enough to work four 10s to have Friday off. F-Sun I go back to unhealthy eating and no workout. I’m also seeking a motivational friend to help keep me accountable and on track for better choices and reminders to go to the gym. Anyone out there willing to be my accountability friend?

Keep logging your food on the weekends, even if it's "unhealthy." Your body counts all of those calories even if you don't. Suppose your calorie goal is 1500 - so what if on Thursday those 1500 calories came from steamed chicken and broccoli and on Friday they came from Doritos and ice cream? If your goal is weight loss, the only thing that matters is that deficit, so let go of the moral judgment about foods. There are no "good" or "bad" foods, you aren't "good" or "bad" for eating or not eating anything in particular. As long as calories in < calories out, you will see results. (There is something to be said for satiety - you will feel less hungry and have an easier time staying in that deficit if you eat more nutritious foods - but just because Doritos aren't filling doesn't mean you aren't allowed to have them. Just budget 140 calories for an ounce of chips, weigh out your serving, enjoy the salty crunch and move on with your life.)

I agree with the person above—log every drink, and everything you eat, even if it is unhealthy. Sometimes it helps to see where we went wrong. I also say utilize the the diary notes for your food and exercise. It helps to write down your feelings regarding food or exercise for that day. There’s a YouTube fitness coach that always says “Progress, not Perfection”. Be realistic with your goals, don’t beat yourself up. Everything should be consumed in moderation. Don’t ever cut yourself from a cookie in general, just limit your intake. You got this!

If you go off your eating plan each weekend... you'll never get ahead. it its a great way to maintain.. dieting during the week.. and going off within reason on the weekends. But it doesn't lead to weight loss.. unless you eat off just one meal.
