Round 150
12 May - 21 May, 2021

Please join us! Starting on 5/2 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 150
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.

Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.

Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!

Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.

FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

@quiltingjaine @GrandmaJackie Many thanks for keeping us going over the years. It's much appreciated.

    😷Take care! Stay safe!😷
May focus: improving stamina, strength, flexibility, which may impact the scale

    Aims:
    2021 Focus:
    • Maintain weight < 150
    • Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
    • Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
    • Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy
    [/color]
Never give up! Never give in!
    Recent Back Story:
    • 2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅
    • 2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
    • 2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ Strength training has slowed progress, but that’s okay.
    • That's a WIN in my book!
    • 2021
    • Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.
    • (One good thing about Covid is that I don't have to traverse the minefield of family celebration meals.)

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
    • Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
    • A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
    • Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
    • The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
    • Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
    • The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
    • When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
    • Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

    I'm in this round!!

I'm not going to post a weight each day because I fluctuate so much day-to-day, so I will post starting weight tomorrow morning and ending weight on the 21st.

Goals: Notice a difference in muscle tone, and stay consistent on daily exercise. Stay away from sugar.

    SW: (will post tomorrow morning)
    GW: (depending on starting weight)

Thank you for the new challenge!

My challenge this time is to lose 1 lbs and also to write a sentence each day on how the previous day has gone. I am a 52 year old woman with primary progressive multiple sclerosis which means my mobility is poor and my weight loss slooooooooooooow. But I keep going!

Start weight for 150 challenge: 308.9 lbs
Aim for 21 May 2021 (end of 150 challenge): 307.9 lbs

I'm new and I still have a long road in front of me. But I am determined. Joined MFP March 23/21.

I would like to join this round. For several months I have been about 10 pounds over my ideal range. Fortunately I have been maintaining but unfortunately it’s not where I want to be and I know I can do better. I need to get back to 1200 calories and hard work!

I would like to join this round too!
I’m brand new to the forums though have used the app a little before.
I have gained 20lbs+ in the last year and I don’t recognise myself anymore. I don’t like to weigh everyday but will post cals/macros each day.
