I hope everyone is having a great 10 days! 45yo busy working mom here, gradually changing habits and mindset - friend me for accountability.
Heaviest - June 2011 - 290
Start Weight - March 2021 - 261.2
Round Start Weight - 255.2
Round Goal Weight - 254
Ultimate Goal Weight - 160, but I'll be ecstatic to be less than 200 again.
5/12
5/13 255.2 - I was super happy about this scale reading because I had been in a scale rut for a bit.
5/14
5/15 257.8 - I was so happy about the previous weight that I laid off the water drinking and made some unproductive food choices. Learning lessons is a NSV also. Lol
5/16 - 255.6 I had a pretty good day yesterday, especially for a weekend day. I even packed a smart lunch when I went to town to get groceries, so I wouldn't eat fast food for lunch. I was yearning for some fries, but I felt better for not getting them.
Stayed under my calorie goal.
Achieved my step goal and started using resistance bands.
Reached my water goal.
5/17 - 254.8 I had dinner at my parents, but took a meal to eat instead of eating what they were having - for a couple reasons ... They were having leftover brisket and making biscuits (I'm a biscuit fiend), and I have a subscription to Real Eats and needed to use up a meal before they start going bad.
I started yoga today and it went ok. I can see how it will be beneficial.
Stayed under my calorie goal.
Achieved my step goal, bands, and yoga (15min).
Reached my water goal.
5/18 - 252.2 I started physical therapy yesterday for plantar fasciitis. It went well and I'm counting that for my stretches/movement, so no yoga today. I'm hoping to get my heels back to normal so I can be more active.
I did make a couple of unwise food choices, but was able to stay under my calorie allowance.
Stayed under my calorie goal.
Achieved my step goal, bands, and physical therapy..
Reached my water goal.
5/19 - 252.2 Not a bad day yesterday, but it turned out to be long.
I stayed under my calorie allowance..
I completed my steps, and used the resistance bands, as well as doing my pt stretches at home. I completed my water goal.
5/20 - 252.0 I don't think I was very disciplined today. My 7mo was feverish overnight and we were frequently. So I felt the tiredness creeping in today. I could tell my focus slipped some and bring tired, I just wanted some comfort food. I ended up eating more roast and potatoes at my parents' than I should have, but it was tasty and I don't feel horrible about it. At Physical therapy today I rode the stationary bike for a bit and did lots of stretches and exercises. I'm not a fan of the "Toe Yoga" exercise, btw. Despite feeling unfocused -
Under calorie goal.
Achieved movement and step goal.
Finished my water goal.
5/21 - Hey you guys.... I'm checking in, but my day yesterday was unorganized and I'm not able to weigh this morning. My 7mo has been admitted to Vanderbilt hospital for an eye infection and we've stayed the night.
Surprisingly, even with crap food options last night, I stayed under calorie goal..I got steps in and had some stationary bike time early in the day before knowing the hospital was on the agenda. I didn't finish my water goal. I'm hoping that we go home today.
As of yesterday's weight, I'm excited to say that my round goal was met!

Heaviest: 225
Ultimate goal weight: 130
05/11: 195.5 (not much change in my appearance so far, though I might seem to be, uh, deflating)
05/21 goal: 193.0
Day/Weight/Comment
05/12 - 195.0 (drizzly day; pulled 6 ticks off me yesterday, a new personal best/worst)
05/13 - 195.0 (weather looks promising; another hike through Tickland is scheduled for me and the dogs)
05/14 - 194.5 (another long hike scheduled for early afternoon; may try to take all 4 dogs, with 2 on long leads (give me patience); today I will remember my bug jacket, because the blackflies, though not yet biting, are flying around my face and it's annoying)
05/15 - 194.0 (sunny AND the weekend! More walking and gardening in my plans; also I don't recommend taking 4 dogs on a walk with 2 on long leads - DON'T DO IT - one was really ticked off and they kept getting tangled up; as well I forgot my bug jacket and had no free hands to swat flies away)
05/16 - 193.5 (hoping it'll clear up later; a long exploratory hike in the plans today; wish I knew more about eating wild plants; tried some goutweed (grown wild at an old collapsed house site) and it was nasty though it is supposed to be edible. Maybe it needs to be cooked.)
05/17 - 193.5 (the long hike was brilliant, a mostly grassy path winding through mixed forest; another 6 ticks on me, but I refuse to give up hiking the woods just because the tick population has exploded this year; just 2 months ago, a brisk 2-h hike would have killed me and I would have had to keep stopping to rest but now I can just keep on going so I know I'm making progress with my fitness. Of course it probably helps that I have 30 less pounds to haul around with me!)
05/18 - 193.5 (yard got checked out by a black bear last night, 6 and 1/2 hours ago, and the chihuahuas are STILL barking about it; probably will not get a woods walk in today because I have to go out)
05/19 - 193 FINALLY (a bit drizzly today but better than yesterday's thunderstorms; plan to go out on a long walk again. Oh, and 193 pounds is my official one-third-done day! Whoohoo! "Only" 13 pounds of obesity to go before I am "only" overweight! I am more determined than ever and believe that I am starting to see a difference in my appearance at last.)
05/20 - 193 again (took a long walk to the end of a woods trail and it ended in a clearing, much to my disappointment, not much further along down the road; debating whether or not to start the C25k now or wait until I weigh 180, which was my original plan)
05/21 -192.5 (I did do the first day of the C25K and it wasn't as bad as I thought, but anybody watching me plod along or listen to me huff and puff may have felt differently, so I will continue on with it).
05/21 goal was 193 and I reached 192.5 so goal achieved! See you in Round 151!9 -

Hello everyone! An expected jump up because of the general lack of precise care during the past week regarding what passed over my gums. We had a fantastic week enjoying some very wonderful scenery with friends. And yes, the Grand Canyon can not be described with pictures.
We ate a lot, but we also walked a LOT.
Then, last night back home we celebrated DGS’s 4th birthday! So cute.
5/18: 211.4
5/19: 209
Resetting well after the trip. I ate right yesterday and went to the gym after work and did a “Sprint” (spinning) class. First time in over a year. It kicked my butt.
I woke up this morning with a mild case of motivation. I will keep an eye on it.
5/20: 209.4
Even in the midst of a mild case of motivation, mistakes can be made. I need a full-on case of motivation.
5/21: 209
This was a weird round. Hard to actually evaluate my goals. First four days on vacation. Returning home with some extra cargo. Managed to get rid of 4.4 lbs. in six days. Got really close to where I was before vacation. I will call it a win.
As far as my average weight goes, it is a guess. For the 8 total days that I could not weigh, I entered the average of the weigh-in on the day before vacation with the weigh-in on the day after vacation. Poor science, but hey, poor science supports my agenda this time. (I never was good in science class.)
See you all next round.

Day/Weight Change/Calories/Comment
5/12 - 188 - 1532
Pizza (salt) yesterday, but I kept my calories in line nonetheless. Beautiful day coming up! Wishing you all a successful round.
5/13 - 188.4 - 1632
No surprise. Yesterday was a crazy day food wise — got together with 3 writer friends and the hostess had candy, nuts, pastries... I had some but counted as lunch. Then pizza leftovers for dinner. But I’m back on track with a good breakfast this morning, salad fixin’s for lunch, and baked chicken & broccoli for dinner. I’m off in a few for a walk and a nursery run, then planting. Yay! A garden day! I hope you get to do what you love today, even if only for a little while.
5//14 - 190 - 1500
Again, not happy but also not surprised — time lag from Wed. Gorgeous day coming up, and I have lots of plants to keep me busy planting plus an arbor to assemble. That should keep me mostly out of trouble.
5/15 - 190 - 1696
Ugh. I know this increase is water from a series of very carby days, but yuck. Otoh, I got my arbor in place and went for a nice long walk. I plan to spend much of today planting & doing other gardening. Supposed to be in the 70s today, rain tomorrow, so perfect. Have a lovely Saturday, all!
5/16 - 189.4 - 1239
Hard to believe we’re half way through May, and half way through this round. ⏳
5/17 - 190 - 1352
Aacckk. Salt, though — we ordered Bob Evans turkey. I replaced the dressing with broccoli, but the food tasted very salty to me, and I feel puffy. This has to stop, though. I’m aiming for lots of water, and a long walk as well as garden time today. At least I’ve done reasonably well with calories this round.
5/18 - 189 - 1562
Back in the right direction at least. It’s so tempting to go extreme, but I know that’s what got me into this re-gain after really restrictive elimination diet. Gotta say, I’m a bit miffed with the doctor & dietitian who put me on that in the first place. Anyway, off to the garden. I’m trying something new — garden for 45 min, then walk 15-20 min loop around neighborhood, rinse, repeat. Otherwise I get so involved in the garden that I skip the walk. We’ll see how that goes!
5/19 - 188.8 - 1739
I ate more than I’d planned, but spent 3 hours digging, planting, weeding, hauling things around, so didn’t do too much damage. I did have some ice cream last night and instead of just filling my bowl, I weighed it. Wow — a serving is MUCH smaller than my eye says! I’ve decided not to completely ban anything, but I do need to check my portions. I think even a little bit will satisfy desire without adding too many calories, and it seems a more sustainable way to live.
5/20 - 187.8 - 1800
Finally! I guess all the digging and lifting is burning a few calories. I’m not getting my long walks yet as the plants need to get out of their pots, but short walks also count. 🤓
5/21 - 188.4 - 1621
Bouncy bouncy. That’s fine. Even if I didn’t lose weight this round, my activity level is way up, so all good. See you next round!6 -

05/12 -197.5 A loss for the day. I have been going gentle on my workouts but this morning I wasn’t as gentle on myself. I feel a small twinge.

05/17 -199.4 Back to the gym this week after 14 months! So much fun! I think my back is finally doing well.
05/18 -197.6 I did my planks this morning. My son was up all night crying about his itchy eyes. It’s hard have a child crying in your arms and your at a loss to comfort them. At one point he told we to stop putting the wet compress on him because it was not helping him. He passed out at 940p, back up at 11pm, again right before 4am. This year is a bad allergy season.
05/19 -196.8 Generally yesterday was a good day. I did succumb to a bit of birthday cake from one of co-workers but I made up for it with lots of exercise
05/20 -196.8 I had another sleepless night. So exhausted, have to pull out the AC tonight.
05/21 -196.2 That is how you end the round!

SW: 258.1 lbs. (5/11/2021)
Day/Weight/Comment
5/12 - Trying to increase water consumption in addition to counting calories. Feeling a tad overwhelmed by it all though right now, but I know that I want to fight through it and do my best.
5/13 – 256.3 lbs. – Disappointed in myself, I caved and got a soda to drink. Will try and better my ability to withstand cravings.
5/14 – 256.7
5/15 – Saturday – Will not be entered – Will update again Monday – 256.3
5/16 - Sunday - Will not be entered – Will update again Monday – 256.8
5/17 – 254.9 - The weekend was a struggle; my boyfriend does not understand my desire to track and monitor food intake. He wanted to eat out all weekend and snack on cookies and candies. When I did the grocery shopping, I went alone and he was upset that I didn't get him snacks while at the store. MC started on Sunday so I expect some weight fluctuations this week. Completely unmotivated this morning, and wanting to crawl into a bowl of ice cream.
5/18 – 255 - Weight fluctuated slightly as I expected. Proud of myself for meeting and surpassing my daily water intake goal. Drinking water is finally not as much of a struggle as it used to be for me. Surpassed my daily step count goal, which normally on Mondays is far below, because I am normally stuck at my desk all day. Did a simple stretching workout last night at home, and it made me really realize how truly out of shape I currently am. Planning on trying again tonight and hopefully, things will be a little easier.
5/19 – 255.4 – Feeling really blah and sick to my stomach yesterday and this morning so far. Hopefully, today gets better.
5/20 – Overslept and didn’t get to check weight this morning. – Didn’t get to feeling much better yesterday either, unfortunately. Tomorrow I have to send a weight update to my out-of-town doctor and crossing my fingers that he will be pleased with the little bit of progress I have made since I was in his office on the 22nd of last month and my weight at that time was 263 lbs.
5/21 – 251.8 – Surprised this morning. Did not expect to see weight loss. I have been slacking off due to not feeling well, but I have still been tracking calories and portion control so obviously, that has helped some. I am pleased with the past 10 days. I am looking forward to email my doctor with the update this afternoon. 6.3lbs since 5/11/21 and 11.2lbs since my last weight at the doctor's office on 4/22/21.

Sept. ‘18. 187.
R149 Goals-168 limit alcohol, lots of water.
5/19-172- I had out of town quilting buddies for a few days.....we ate, drank and quilted. Then I went to my dad’s for five nights to help him heal after a procedure, and even he said he was going on a diet after I left and I told him I would too! I had brought my sewing machine and cooked him lots of comfort food.......whew! Time to get back on the wagon!!!
5/20-170-That was easy after my big week of indulgence.
5/21-168-Yep, it was a big week of indulgence. I dug in the yard ALL DAY. I brought in a yard of compost and two yards of top soil. I worked it all into one flowerbed and have two to go. I can’t wait to start planting.7 -
I was part of this challenge in the past but stopped pretty much everything - eating healthy, exercise, getting enough water, - you name it! I'm back to get my butt in gear. I came back to this group because everyone here is so supportive of each other!
Goal: 64oz water each day; row 30 mins 5 of 7 days each week; eat vegetables/fruit; 1200 to 1500 calories
Two days ago I finally got thru the day without sabotaging and bingeing - and no sugar for 2 days, which is my downfall because it keeps my cravings going.
5/10 - 183.1 - first day no sugar, started back rowing, drank 64oz water, ate lots of vegetables)
5/11 - 182.9 - kept all the good things going from yesterday)
Round 150
5/12 - 182.1 - still going strong - feeling more confident that I won't go on a binge - yay!
5/13 - 182.1 - my confidence is building and no sugar is helping tremendously!
5/14 - 181.2 - I'm happy to see this number but also know it may fluctuate up and down for a few days.
5/15 - 181.2
5/16 - 181.8 - still doing all the right things - looking for the 170's!
5/17 - 182.8 - hmmm....even though I know it's normal to fluctuate day to day, I don't have to like it. LOL. I stayed within my calorie limit every day, but had pasta too many days and I believe carbs make you hold water. Pasta is literally the only processed food I eat. I also had way too much salt so that habit needs to stop. I'm going to start adding 1/4 tsp to a lunch bag and sprinkle on from that to be mindful.
5/18 - 183.4 - okay, what's going on? I'm rowing, drinking water, staying around 1300 calories and I do IF automatically because I'm never hungry in the mornings and stop eating around 5p each day. I'm going back to what I said yesterday - pasta and salt. I made sauce and ate pasta for 4 days straight until finally the sauce is gone. I think I'm trying to satisfy the withdrawal from sugar with it. I'm also wondering if 64oz of water is enough since I see a lot of you shooting for higher amounts. And truthfully, I've been hitting around 60oz the last few days. Today it's chicken and vegetables (not starchy ones either except very little sweet potato that I cooked because they were going bad). As long as I'm doing the right things, and adjusting when not, I'm not overly bummed out, but do look forward to a morning soon that I'm back down. What I am celebrating though is no bingeing and no sugar since May 10!
5/19 - 181.3 - I'm glad I've learned to stick it out when my weight fluctuates and not use it as an excuse to binge.
5/20 - 181.2 - What a difference 11 days makes! On May 9 I was eating everything in sight, not drinking water, and not exercising. It's amazing how much better I feel today compared to May 9. Why in the world wouldn't I choose to feel this way, always? I feel more confident that I can do this, and if I stay off the sugar and white flour, I will be able to control my cravings, not to mention it makes me feel like sh#$. Sugar/white flour is a running theme for me because I know it is my downfall every time!!
5/21- 181.0 - Good luck everyone on the next round!
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

5/21 - 146.8 - Yippe! Below starting weight so I'm content. Especially considering what all went on this round. Fasted 17 hours, 80oz water. Got a yoga session in, too!
Previous Day's Comments5/12 - A drop is a drop, even if its only 0.1lbs! This weather we are having is killing me. Unfortunately, big swings in weather (such as storms rolling in and out) cause my injuries to get stiff, swollen, and achy. Particularly my back which causes my legs to either go tingly-numb or ache as well due to the nerve damage and swelling around said nerve. I haven't had a workout since Saturday when we worked the land (trust me, it was a workout). Today should clear up though starting Saturday there's chance of storms for a week straight. I will hopefully get a bit of reprieve and can get a workout in, but for now I'm just focusing on gentle movement and stretching. If the worst of it settles, I'll try some yoga. Don't worry, I'm used to this! It'll pass and I'll have some wonderful days coming soon. Guess it's not April Showers and May Flowers but May Showers and (hopefully) June Flowers! Good news is, my garden is reaping the benefits of it all and I'm still visiting my little outdoor friends. I even have my first cucumber of the season! Next day or two will be ideal for picking it (:
5/13 - I've been frustrated and couldn't bring myself to post yesterday. I feel like I'm doing things right and yet my body is fighting harder than ever before. This week for work is busier since it is monthly meeting week to review all of last month's reliability issues and endless meetings to do so. Haven't gotten a workout in. Been feeling......bleh? Don't know how to describe it. I'm achy still, too, which isn't helping me push through anything. Water wasn't good yesterday, maybe 60oz. Didn't fast because I had an upset stomach in the morning and had some toast to calm it. It did help a ton so I'm happy I didn't break my fast for nothing. Back to fasting today and already working on my water intake for the day. Just need to keep going, it's a phase my body is going through and I'll come out of it eventually. Thanks for all the support, even if it's just reading your daily posts!
5/14 - Didn't weigh yesterday because we were up and out early. Just simply no time. I decided to have just a small little bit of ice cream but apparently my body reacts even worse now. Usually that little tiny bit will make me feel bloated and bleh but last night I was so sick, I thought I was going to vomit everywhere. Still don't feel the best (but I do feel better) and am super bloated. Although I know why and I made a conscious decision to do it, I'm not weighing so I don't mess myself up mentally. I'm also dehydrated from working the land yesterday. Although I drank a ton of water, it was impossible to keep up. Today, hopefully, is more of a lazy day so I can play catch up.
5/15 - DNP
5/16 - DNP
6/17 - Better than expected! Still recovering from ice cream and dehydration. Bloated and tummy still a little sensitive. Got more water, about 60 oz, but was feeling a little queasy if I drank too much too quick. Today seems a little better on the water intake. It's still slow, but I think I can still hit 90+ oz today. Back to fasting since I couldn't manage yesterday (though the toast did help settle things tremendously and was worth breaking my fast). Hoping later on I can get in some movement without causing too much tummy rumblings. Maybe if rain lets up a bit, I can take the pup for a walk, too.
5/18 - Coming back down food-bloat wise and coming right back up with pre-TOM-bloat within the next day or two. Fasted 16.5 hours, drank about 75-80oz. Not perfect on water, but better! Was trying to avoid a midnight bathroom visit and still get as much water in. I failed on both ends, should've drank more water since I had to get up to use the bathroom at 1am anyway! Oops. Haven't been sleeping well as it is and been so tired. Weather isn't helping, yet another rainy lazy day. Maybe if I have to nap, I can avoid eating everything in sight!
5/19 - Behaved better yesterday. About 95oz water and fasted 16.5 hours. My poor kitty died last night. Dad came home to find her, think she had a stroke and was struggling. Mom took off work to take her to vet where she had a couple seizures and had to be put down. She was a rescue and turns out, likely a lot older than we originally thought. Sad day for our family because yesterday was also the 5 year anniversary of another kitty of ours passing. I felt helpless because they're across the country (north/south) over 1,200 miles away.
5/20 - It's 100% TOM. Knew it was coming. Fasted 16.5 hours, drank 100 oz water, stayed within calories. It was a good day. I read somewhere that eating at your goal weight calorie maintenance is a good way to not completely mess up metabolism and will help once goal weight is reached. I've been eating at that calorie range for about 3 days now and finally adjusted it in MFP. Before I was aiming for 1250, now 1550. Still a deficit for my current weight, but more doable without feeling absolutely ravenous. Used 5 different calculators to get a nice average (about 1580) and rounded down to give myself a little wiggle room. (: I also put for sedentary because I've not been working out (though aiming for one this morning.)

20: 199.0 🥚 I've really been struggling lately. Got back on track yesterday. An hour on an elliptical. Full-body fascia blasting session. Ended a 40-hour fast this morning. Today was decent. Tomorrow will be better.
21: 198.6 🥚 Down 1.2 pounds. Considering how far off track I got for quite a few days, I'm thrilled to end here and still be under 200. On a side note, I'm curious about the use of the Disagree reaction here. My last 2 posts have had someone use it, but I don't actually know what that means in this context. I don't recall ever seeing it used in these threads until this round. Thanks in advance for any input.

Day/Weight/Comment
05/11 …..208.8….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
05/12 …..208.4 ….. I am feeling super-charged and inspired. I hope this feeling lasts all day. No…..I hope it lasts for as long as I need it to. For some reason, this feels like ground zero! Good luck everyone on this round.
05/13 …..207.4 ….. I tried a little Intermittent Fasting again yesterday. It went well during it but I did have a small glucose drop last night which I handled well. I will try again today. I’m a lady in training again, I suppose. Feeling good again today. I am seeing my doctor again in about a month. She said she needs to see a dramatic change or I’ll have to start taking insulin shots (which I am fighting). She took my fasting glucose (I was extra good the days prior knowing she would) was 513. My AIC was 13.8 . Things are not good here, but they are about to improve. I am working on my diet but also on my stress levels too. Stress has been through the roof!
05/14 …..207.4 ….. Day 2 on the IF and it went well. Later, my daughter and DGS #4 moved back in due to her home problems. Last time we had a pretty bad argument and she had left, I think we will both try harder this time. She is looking for a rental but in this rural area that is few and far between. I’ll support her in any way I can. I just hope my diet doesn’t go askew now that normal meals will be needed for her and the 3 ½ year old.
05/15 …..206.6 ….. Another good drop. No sleep last night. Literally, not one hour. Tried to nap today but still no sleep. Then I realized I accidentally took my thyroid pill before bed. That explains it. Well, I should sleep good tonight! Celebrating my birthday from the 10th tomorrow with my daughters. A ladies spa day. I’m looking forward to it.
05/16 …..206.6 ….. I thought it would be lower. I had a perfect eating day yesterday. No bad snacks too (which is my nighttime weakness). However, it was a lazy rest day otherwise with my daughter and DGS staying the night with friends. Not much movement but I needed the rest from no sleep the night before. Today we celebrate my belated birthday. Spa day and dinner out. I will be very careful to keep up the progress.
05/17 …..206.8 ….. After multiple days of celebrations this week, I am happy with this number. Back to IF today and good choices.
05/18 …..206.8 ….. Glad to be maintaining but would like to see a little progress. My daughter brought me home a butter pecan Gelato last night which I ate. I really didn’t want to hurt her feelings as she is very fragile right now with her situation. Also, it was very expensive for the amount you get. I ate it and enjoyed it, but tonight I will carefully have another talk with her if her mood is okay. It’s not just about weight. It’s about the diabetes too. I know she is just trying to be nice and to be grateful for my help. Perhaps she can take a walk with me instead. I truly would appreciate that more! Thankfully I had made a very low cal and low carb dinner so the scale was not negatively affected.
05/19 …..206.6 ….. No TMI today but still a small drop on the scale. I really focused on portion control yesterday and, of course, it helped. I would love to see the 205’s soon. I had that talk with my daughter. It is clear that she will bring home things for her and my DGS but she also understands and wants what is best for me. In the end, as said before, it is up to me what I poke in my pie hole. However, she promised not to bring specific things home just for me.
05/20 …..209.6 ….. Shocked! There goes all my progress this round! I made homemade chicken noodle soup and had a bowl for lunch and a bowl for a late dinner. That’s it. No snacks, no dairy. No TMI x 2 isn’t helping. Also two days of dinners with high sodium is suspected. Pushing water and not letting it get me down.
05/21 …..209.6 ….. I hate to end on a weight that I hope is only water weight from high sodium soup. But it has stuck for two days, even after pushing water so I’m not sure what to think! Nice round to all of you who saw progress in any type of goal you may have had! See you next round.

Previous days5/12 116.8 Had a nice whoosh of water weight leave me over night. Now I’m back in a happier place for myself. I even feel less swollen, the past couple days I had been waking up and my finger joints almost hurt from the excess water retention. Today I used the spin bike and I was able to get a walk around the block in as well.
5/13 116.6 Didn’t get a chance to post yesterday but started my blurb, so I included it above. I had an exercise win today of running 4 miles this morning before work. Then, I went for a 20 minute walk during my lunch. Food has been good the past two days. Dinner tonight will be a left over pork chop and butternut squash. I’ll also have a salad with it. Breakfast was my typical two eggs with high fiber toast and cream cheese but the past couple days I’ve also included some raw Macomber turnip slices too. The extra veg has been a nice filling veggie based addition to my breakfast. The raw turnip is pretty mild tasting so I sprinkle on some chili lime seasoning and it’s delicious! Tomorrow is CSA pick up day and we might be getting fresh tomatoes or cucumbers from their greenhouses…I’m so excited! 😊 .
5/14 Did not post.
5/15 Had a good day food wise yesterday and did a more mild bike ride Friday morning because TOM arrived throughout the night and kept me up. So, I wanted to be more gentle on my body. Our CSA was filled with exciting new goodies. We got our first cucumber of the season and /I can’t wait to try it with a Greek yogurt spinach artichoke dip I’m making with an abundance of fresh spinach I have still from last week’s CSA pick-up.
5/16 So, the spinach artichoke dip I made came out yummy and a generous 230 g portion only had 140ish calories. We had a relaxing day yesterday but I was productive in the morning making the dip and a batch of breakfast cookies. This morning we are heading to go out for a walk at a local trail near us, so that’ll be nice. Then, I’ll be working on my journal and creating my weekly spread because I slacked for a week or two with that and want to get back into it. I’m also going to meal plan today and come up with some easy but tasty meals for the week.
5/17 Did not post today.
5/18 Did not weigh. Food was pretty decent yesterday. I went out to dinner with old coworkers last night and got a personal size Margherita pizza from Not Your Average Joe’s. I had two small pieces of bread with 2 tsps of oil and 4 out of the 6 slices of pizza. So, between eating well during the day and not going overboard at dinner…I think I stayed within maintenance or still squeaked by with a tiny deficit. I did 30 minutes on the bike yesterday and went for about a 2 mile walk which helped me stay within my calorie goals for the day. This morning I ran 2 miles and it was my fastest time in a while! (2.11 miles in 19minutes 59 seconds) Plus, I just felt great in general running and probably could have gone further but I didn’t have the time before work.
Tonight’s dinner will be steak with roasted potatoes, onions, and beets. I’m also thinking about adding za’atar seasoning to the veggies.
5/19 116.8 Did a 20 minute bike ride this morning and plan to go for a walk this afternoon. I’ve been loving this warmer weather we’re having! It makes my afternoon walks so pleasant. We just booked a road trip to Virginia Beach for 5 days at the end of June and I’m so excited! So, I think knowing I have a vacation coming up will help me stay on track over the weekends as well (there’s more motivation to stay on track for being in a bathing suit for a week lol).
Dinner tonight for me will be burrata, basil, and corn ravioli’s from Trader Joes along with leftover steak, mushrooms, spinach and potatoes from last night.
5/20 116.0 That’s a nice water weight drop. I ran 5k this morning and it felt great 😊. My upper body is sore today from starting daily push-ups and exercises for my posture, but it’s a good sore. Dinner last night ended up being 2 servings of the raviolis with pesto and the left-over spinach. My husband had Chipotle, so I didn’t have to share the raviolis with him lol. Then, he’ll have the left-over steak for his lunch tomorrow. Tonight’s dinner will be slow cooked chicken thighs in an Indian curry sauce, the leftover potatoes, naan, and some more spinach (spinach is for me, my husband doesn’t really like cooked greens). Have a good day!
5/21 116.6 Woke up this morning feeling good and not puffy/face felt slimmer, so I’m cool with that number. Did a 20 minute spin session this morning and a 2 mile walk during my lunch today. Dinner might be Indian food leftovers, not quite sure yet. I’m very glad the day is almost over for work. It’s been a busy week and the weekend is going to feel so good! Happy Friday!
