    Height: 5'4"
Total weight lost: About 43 pounds
Time it took to lose: 1 year and 2 months
How long in maintenance: I hit my goal weight in the beginning of January 2018, but officially started maintenance in mid-March 2018 after figuring out my calories for a couple of months.
    Maintenance weight range: 108-112.5

Average weight recorded for 2018: 109.8
Average weight recorded for 2019: 111.2
Average weight recorded for 2020: 111.6

Average weight recorded for August 2020: 112.9
Average weight recorded for September 2020: 112.4
Average weight recorded for October 2020: 111.7
Average weight recorded for November 2020: 111.5
Average weight recorded for December 2020: 112.1

Average weight recorded for January: 111.6

Average weight recorded for March: 112.2
Average weight recorded for April: 111.3
Average weight recorded for May: 112.4

    Week ending:
    June 5: 112.5 (trending 112.5)
    June 12: 113.4 (trending 112.9)
    June 19: 113.1 (trending 113)
    June 26: 113.2 (trending 113.1)

Successes/struggles of the week: Still struggling with my weight continuing to be high with no downward movement yet. The weather here has been very hot lately, so that might be contributing a bit too as my weight tends to be higher in the summers than during the cold weather.

HEAVIEST weight: 175.4 in early 2013.
    Total Weight lost: 30 pounds
Time it took to lose: ~6 months
How long in maintenance: Since July 2018 -- but with some fluctuation outside of goal range.
    Maintenance weight range:
    Ideally 142 - 148
    Absolutely 140-150

(and STILL not sure those are the right answers)

Average weight recorded from 2017 (12 months): 163.8
Average weight recorded from 2018 (12 months): 150.7
Average weight recorded from 2019 (12 months): 144.8
Average weight recorded from 2020 (12 months): 147.1

Average weight recorded from December 2020: 150.9
Average weight recorded from January 2021: 154.1 (!!!)
Average weight recorded from February 2021: 154.8 (!!!)

Average weight recorded from April 2021: 154.2 (!!!)

    Jun 14 - 20 ................ 156.7
    Jun 21 - 27 ................ 156.1
    Jun 28 - Jul 4 .............

Success of the week: I cooked something that should be easy but that I've always had a hard time getting right, and I got it right!

Struggle of the week: Excess heat for one thing. Yesterday was a little over 100F, and it's forecast to be that hot again tomorrow. Today it's forecast to 111F. The other is nothing new; continued struggle shaking back off the weight I gained fourth quarter 2020.

    Heaviest weight: 98.9 kg
    Total Weight lost: 35 kg
Time it took to lose: 12 months
How long in maintenance: Since April 2016 - but gained 10 kg March-May 2020 after massive trauma combined with COVID-19.
Maintenance weight range: 65-75 kg (not sure what’s the right answer - been up and down in there numerous times in my life, apart from going way over 2010-2015).
I’d like to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.

I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.
Weekly averages checking day for me is Sunday.

    Current moving average: 77.8 kg
    Today’s weigh-in: 78.4 kg
Average weight recorded from 2015 (12 months): 85 kg

Average weight recorded from 2019 (12 months): 65 kg
Average weight recorded from 2020 (12 months): 74 kg

Traumatic life events March – May 2020

Average weight recorded from January 2021: 75.7 kg
Average weight recorded from February 2021: 75.8 kg
Average weight recorded from March 2021: 75.7 kg
Average weight recorded from April 2021: 76.4 kg
Average weight recorded from May 2021: 77.4 kg

    Average weight Week ending ...
    30 May ………. 77.5 kg
    06 Jun ……….. 77.2 kg
    13 Jun ……….. 77.4 kg
    20 Jun ……….. 77.7 kg
    28 Jun ……….. 78.4 kg

Same as last week in that I can't work out why my weight went up this week despite being in a 9,000 kilojoule weekly deficit.

    Name: Charlotte
    Age: 57
    Height: 5'11" (180cm)

    Maintenance range: 75kg (+/- 1kg)

    Weight lost: 86kg to 80 kg (January-August 2012); 85 kg to 69 kg (October 2014 - March 2016); 88kg to present weight (May 2020 - now)
maintained (i.e. was below 77.5 kg, and mostly below 75 kg) from February 2015-July 2017; was then put on a medication and gained 2 kg in a month; went on sabbatical (away from scales; lots of conference meals); hit (peri-)menopause and lost track of things except to note that I was steadily gaining and back to 85/86 kg.
Lost to 81 kg at Easter 2020 (top of normal bmi for me), but then gained back to 88 kg in April/May (Easter egg binge; lock down closed the pool...).
    Average weight October 2014 - September 2015: 75.72 kg
    Average weight October 2015 - September 2016: 72.33 kg
Average weight October 2016 - September 2017: 76.82 kg - monthly average mostly within maintenance range (74.82 - 77.86 kg) for the first 10 months, then >79 kg in August and September
    Average weight October 2017 - March 2018: 80.90 kg
    April 2018-April 2020: no data
    Average weight 22 May - 31 December 2020: 80.83 kg

Average weight recorded for January 2021: 76.06 kg
Average weight recorded for February 2021: 76.91 kg
Average weight recorded for March 2021: 75.38 kg
Average weight recorded for April 2021: 74.90 kg
Average weight recorded for May 2021: 75.02 kg

Weight / seven day rolling average:
    1 June: 74.6 kg (164 lb) / rolling 7-day average 74.73 kg
    8 June: 75.7kg (167 lb) / rolling 7-day average 75.29 kg
    15 June: 74.8 kg (165 lb) / rolling 7-day average 75.14 kg
    22 June: 75.9 kg (167lb) / rolling 7-day average 75.36 kg
    29 June: 76.2 kg (168lb) / rolling 7-day average 75.73 kg

Average weight recorded for June 2021 currently: 75.34 kg

Reflection: Trend is currently still up though I did drop down below 75.5kg in the middle of this week. I am not that surprised as I tweaked my back a bit last week, and then, as that was getting better, managed to skinned the part of the palm of one hand, so have been doing less exercise. And we had a very late night cheese and wine snack last night, folowed by a short night, so that might have something to do with today's weigh in.

You asked "What are some of the things you’ve done to be so successful!!!"

When I realized the dismal regain statistics, I decided to weigh myself every morning in my PJs. I expect fluctuations, but that means up AND down. If my daily weight only goes UP day after day, that's not a fluctuation, it's a trend and I look realistically at what I've been doing. It's a lot easier to turn around a gain of 3-5 pounds than waiting for double digits. It's worked for me for 11 years so far.

I don't have all the stats for this challenge but like Brooklyn_Born I weigh myself regularly and look at the trend. Right now I'm staying right in the +/- 3 lbs of my goal weigh too 142 where I've stayed for over 8 years. The extreme heat is making it less attractive to walk outside.

@Brooklyn_Born Thank you! This is what I do, too! So far, so good.

    @mjglantz
Thank you also!! I appreciate both of your replies! Congratulations on an amazing maintenance!

I weigh daily & track trends (Happy Scale) and monthly & yearly average weights.

Turning around June’s gain (heat, stress, some habits slipped - mostly I was unhappy & had temporarily lost my sense of gratitude when I learned despite both vaccine, I have no antibodies (transplant). I’ve worked all that out now, and leveled the gain & trend has decreased from almost 160 to 159 so far.

One other thing that contributes to my maintenance success was the realization and acceptance when I started that this wasn't a diet that I'd go on and off...this is for life. Sounds simple and trust me it took 61 years to get there!
