Being Type 2 Diabetic

Just recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, I’m finding it very challenging to find meals that I would enjoy and keep me full at the same time. Prior to this diagnosis I never looked at the nutrition charts on any food, just see food and eat. Not dangerously over weight (6’1” 230lbs) and at the ripe age of 48 with 4 children I owe it to them and myself to be more conscious of my health. Bottom line just looking for suggestions on how to eat better and what to eat. Thank you

As a person with Type 2 Diabetes myself I do understand your struggles. I would suggest that you speak with your primary doctor to see if they can refer you to a Diabetic Educator so that they can help you with a meal plan and how many carbs you should be eating.
I count my calories but I do count my carbs and I would be more than happy to help you!1 -
