What are your thoughts and opinions on tatoos on men? To tat or not to tat? Location, style, meaning, taboos, examples?

I mostly like them but not when there's a lot because then it gets too busy and distracting.

Good luck finding employment. You're pretty much limited to Sous Chef, Entertainer/Athlete, or ferris wheel operator for a traveling carnival (but even that I heard they're rebranding their image).

as long as they're personal/meaningful in some kind of way, i don't think they're so bad

i do think the like older tribal stuff or asian lettering has been played out for a long time though. honestly it was played out within like a year of it starting.

It’s 2021, people are routinely tatting their face. No shock factor anymore.
I prefer that they look nice and flow with the body. Touch them up when they need it.

i can't remember ever seeing one a guy in person before. but i know like 5 girls here at work who have them or a stud of some kind so i guess its more socially acceptable for women to wear them at work at least.

Nothing is more attractive to me than a toned fit body and clear skin. Clean cut and pretty.

But that’s my prefer taste in aesthetic with most things, like my house. I let the nice interior design ( marbles, big windows ect) speak for itself, don’t like the extra nik naks, busy look.

Tattoos don’t catch my attention.

I've definitely known a couple guys with pierced noses. One was going more for a goth look (he was such a cutie and such a sweetie) and the other worked for one of our clients who did costuming or something like that in "the industry". He wore a very noticeable nose ring, let me tell ya!

I'm probably creepy because I tend to look at people's graphic t shirts when out and about...it's the compulsive reader in me.

One time I passed someone with a t shirt that said "Hoder Hoder Hoder" on it (if you know Game of Thrones) and I was like, "Too soon, lady. Too soon".

She didn't know what I was talking about for a second.

Same. I find myself sucked down rabbit holes on IG periodically just looking at tattoos. Good artists/shading is pretty incredible.

I don't require, or reject for lack of, tattoos. My preference would be that any body art or modification have meaning to the person, mostly because of the opportunity to get to know the person more by talking about it.

I have several tattoos, all of which are extremely visible. It's literally never been an issue in regards to employment and everyone thinks I am very cool and interesting because of them.

I don't have any art tattoos but I have my freckles, body marks from scarf-related injuries (cuts, grazes, medical procedures), and they tell my story just as much like tattoos do but in a much less colorful way.

Back in the 70s or 80s, only certain kinds of people would have tattos, but nowadays it's pretty much everybody.
I'm more old school in the sense that it doesn't fit me.

I always wanted one as a kid. I thought they were unique and made you stand out. I never could settle on one though. I haven't thought about it in a long time but probably would still have the same problem. The uniqueness that I was wanting from having one 25 now presents itself by not having one.

I don't believe there's much of a social stigma around them like there used to be. I work with many people in a corporate environment who have sleeves or chest and shoulder work that shows in an open collared dress shirt. Some even C-level.

I must be creepy as well because I'm always checking out peoples tattoos. I like tattoos, even though I don't have any but wish I did. I think they say something about the person who chose them. I've seen a lot of really creative ones, as well as lots of sentimental ones. My dds both have tattoos but my son does not. Taboo ones? Definitely the face; I just don't understand that one.

But there is a woman that works at the post office and has a whole sleeve done. However, many employers do frown on them.

Doesn't Disney World have a no tattoo criteria for employment? Kinda silly IMO.

I have zero tattoos...but I love tattoos on men. My husband has 2 on his legs, which he can easily cover at work. He didn't have any trouble finding a good job with tattoos, but he also has an MS in CS (that might have helped).

I have several tattoos, some are more visible than others. I'm also in the process of removing three of them. I like tattoos on men when they're well done and not just a jumble of random ink. But I now know that removing a tattoo that is no longer "you" is very painful, very expensive and takes a very long time.
