I like them, but it's something where some people have good body art, well placed and balanced, and other people who....don't. It's a way where you can tell if someone has good taste (or taste that complements yours) or not.

I have a full backpiece of the Green Man. It surprises people who don't know me very well.

    Like the Hulk??

I've thought off and on for two decades about getting one, but then I get squeamish about the pain involved and drop the subject from my mind, until months/years later I see a random tat and again feel inspired to think until I think about the pain yada yada yada. (My son has multiple and tells me the pain is nothing compared to what my mind is envisioning, and far less than I endured when I broke a tooth in half from a popcorn kernel.) Very cyclic, and therefore never gets done.

My wife wants to get a tat, her concern isn't the pain involved (she's given birth four times, three of them without any painkillers at all), but for her what's holding her back is deciding on the design. She'll get her heart set on one, then see another and start a massive internal debate over which she would prefer, and round about the time she has settled on one of them she'll see something else...

It’s not that serious. Nothing is permanent

I think it’s a god thing. Like nature and paganism and stuff. But I don’t want to google so…

My mom said if you tattoo your body you're inviting the devil to your playground

I heard something similar about piercings from my mom

Yep, I think I still have a few of the "Revelations: Why you are going to h3ll" from the backwoods southern baptist church.
