Hello,
If I work as a teacher and I walk for and hour and sometimes do some exercises at home for 35 mins, so when I want to decide the activity level in the app. Am I not very active or lightly active?? thanks a lot 🤩

I would say sedentary, then add the exercise calories back.
    So…. Not very active.

    Wait.
How much time are you walking around in the classroom?
Like, high school/college level almost always at your desk or the blackboard?

Or first grade always running after some little scamp?

If as a teacher you are standing for a good part of the day you are definately not sedentary (means mostly seated).

Your purposeful exercise is absolutely nothing to do with your activity setting by the way.

Walking can in reality be either wrapped up into your activity setting for simplicity or logged as a separate exercise. Any rough idea of your average steps in a day?

    From the goal set up.....

@MargaretYakoda I teach primary stages so I spend the whole session running along the passages and lines

If you are on your feet most of the day teaching...choose 'Lightly Active'. If you are seated most of the time...then I'd choose sedentary.

As far as the 35 min workout at home you do -- figure out the best estimate of your calorie burn there and log that, MFP will give those calories back for you to eat. I'd suggest eating back 50-100% of them depending on what works for you.

    That sounds like lightly active.

My mom was a third grade teacher. I’m convinced that’s a factor in how she was able to remain relatively skinny her entire life.
