I looked in the mirror and noticed I went from 3 chins down to 1.5 !29

Cheekbones!
Who knew they were hiding under there?!21 -
Today I noticed a pair of pants in my drawer that I never wear. I have like, two pair that are summer only, two that work both summer and winter, and two that are winter only. But there was another pair in there, that I had forgotten about.
I pulled them out and remembered--I bought two pair of cargo pants on clearance from my fave online big clothes place, and THEY DIDN'T FIT. But I'd lost weight before! So I made a deal with myself and kept one, donated one.
Today I am wearing them for the first time! Now I can choose which of my "wide-leg" pants are saggiest and stuff them in the donate bag!
And this weekend I'm going to dig out the tub of my very favorites that are the only things I saved last time I lost, and move something into my closet for the next time I just wannna see if I'll fit.23 -
Yesterday, I didn't like what the scale said. But I still met my other goals. I tracked everything and I exercised. I didn't say mean things to myself. That's a bigger victory than anything the scale says.30

I found a pair of shorts in my drawer and thought they were my husband's. I looked again and saw they were a pair of mine from last year, right about this time of year. Just to see, I set my newest pair of jeans on top of them. If you look closely, you'll see that there's 4 inches difference. I'm pretty happy with that.

I ate one bowl of cereal this morning. I used to eat at least four bowls at a time. But this morning, I measured out the cereal and the milk and ate ONE bowl. I eve poured out the remaining milk rather than drinking it.25

Last night we went to dinner with the in-laws. We had a LOT of food, but I only ate until I was comfortably full instead of trying to stuff myself. I still went over on my calories (mostly because of having some drinks), but I don't feel bad, because I made some mostly healthy food choices overall!27

I do my grocery shopping using a click and collect service, and when you go to checkout, it comes up with a "have you forgotten" list of commonly purchased items.
I have noticed my "have you forgotten" list has evolved from a range of crackers, snacks, treats etc to more whole foods and pantry basics (fruit, vege, oats, milk).
That's not to say I don't still buy and consume treats, of course, but now they are actually Treats, not just my usual food.24 -
Out with a girlfriend I see every couple weeks. She asks "Well, how many down is it now"? I asked her "can you really notice it"? And she said "yes, very". I hugged her, nobody has actually mentioned it outside my mother and it meant a lot to me to hear it. Down 44 total, 32 of it since beginning of April.34

I have a neck.
I carry my weight above my waist and lost my neck when I was heavier. Well it’s back now.26 -
I had to throw away a pair of shorts yesterday because they kept falling down. They had an elastic waist, but because the elastic was sewn in, it couldn't be tightened. They were quite old, so it wasn't a big deal, but boy did it feel good.19

According to my Fitbit my resting heart rate is down from between 77and 75bpm To 68 bpm in 10 days just from adding exercise in to my daily routine. 😄23

Back in early 2020, I climbed stairs veeeeery slowly. I'd take one step with my 'strong leg' and then bring up the weaker leg to the same step. It was exhausting! Yesterday, I needed to get somewhere fast and took a flight of stairs two at a time like it was nuthin'.33

I was so grumpy the other day because I felt like my weight loss had slowed down over the past month and I was worried I was hitting a plateau, took my measurements and in that month I'd lost 3 inches off my waist32

The feeling of racing up the stairs and not needing a rest at the top is so amazing!!15 -
Laying on my side, I can really feel my hipbones now!!!
And yesterday, I realized I could run/walk a mile in under 15 minutes. That's faster than I've ever been! I kinda lost my mind a little when I saw that on the treadmill.18 -
Today, for the first time ever, a doctor said "You're doing great, keep doing what you are doing"27

It must feel great.
It felt pretty damn good.
Some docs, like any other profession, are jerks. I dumped one after her initial "plan" was to recommend a couple of diet websites and say she expected me back, 40 lbs lighter, in 2 months. Another went "Palpitations? Probably not anxiety, you're fat, so must be enlarged heart" after about 30 seconds of discussion. I got checked, it wasn't, but his "diagnosis" sure didn't help.
I eventually found a doc that is reasonable, encouraging and actually listens and helps plan a strategy for improvement. It was a hassle to find him, but worth the effort.
