Here due to SIBO

Hi, new to myfitnesspal, but have tracked food and exercise intermittently throughout the years. This time I am not here for weight loss, but to track my food intake and monitor my responses.

I've been dealing with a condition called SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) for about 3 years now. Multiple rounds of antibiotics, herbal antibiotics, digestive enzymes, restrictive diets, even went on a 3 week elemental diet (powder mixed in water only). I lost 30 lbs and actually became underweight for a while.

Anyway, my gastroenterologist referred me to a registered dietician who specializes in gastro disorders and she has put me on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. It's very strict, but if it will make me well, I can and will do it. Because it takes a long time for my body to react to dietary changes, I need to track my food and symptoms over the long term to see if there's anything that is well tolerated or what else may need to be excluded. That's why I'm here.

I have a problem though, and I hope someone reads this and can assist. I've entered a new blog post twice, only to have it disappear after I hit "save". I can't find it, see it, anything. It won't do me any good to document my symptoms in the blog if I can't read it later. Does anyone know how to fix that, or where I can find my blog posts????

Thanks!

@Perserverance71 hummmm, I am actually not sure about blogs questions. But blogs are more intended for sharing with others.

I think what you may want to use instead is the notes section on your diary. On the page you log your food on the bottom right there is a button that says notes, you can write whatever you want there. That will probably be an easier place to store your observations since its right on the page with everything you ate. I hope that helps!

Thanks, I found that and started using it! ... But...I'd still like to use the blog feature, but hitting "save" seems to send my entry into the vast beyond...
