Post covid comeback

Post covid here. Still learning my limits. This morning I did 8K steps before 10am now I’m very tired and need to lie down. I don’t think I’ll be moving this much at once when I get back to work, but work is still a 15 min walk for me.

I am at a measly 106lbs and want to gain the right way, but I will not have gym access for another 2 weeks so I am doing what I can with resistance bands and bodyweight. My mother somehow thinks 10lb gain in 2 months is possible for me, a small 25F 5’3” woman.

If that many steps makes you so tired, cut back a little. Pick more high calorie foods(nuts, trail mix, full fat dairy, dark meats, fatty fish, avocado, etc) over high volume (green salads, cucumber, celery, low fat, etc). Body weight, bands, dumbbells when you can, maybe yoga. Cut back on cardio.

Yea I thought I had fueled enough. My breakfast was 2 eggs, half everything bagel, peach, sprinkle cheese, and a nonfat Greek yogurt. Which felt like a lot, thanks protein. I just had some watermelon and after sitting feeling a bit better. I don’t plan to do this much walking when I start work again. I think it was just too much at once, considering my avg daily steps Is over 15K.

It may not even be fueling. Plenty of people do fasted cardio fine. It may simply be needing to work you way up to that level of activity. Im assuming from your post that 8k steps by early morning isn't normal for you.

I was thinking it's probably not food, although you do need to add cals in order to gain weight. The issue is resting enough for recovery after illness.

Yeah that is poor load management assuming you weren't doing 8k steps before 10am during covid.

Only you and your medical team know your current lung performance and for many people it isn't something you unload a huge amount out of no where.

Is there a reason you want such a rapid weight gain?

I might suggest training with other things than bands and body weight just from a efficiency standpoint. Even if you were absolutely rank untrained I would program dosages with more stimulus fairly soon.
