Is anyone else having issues with Samsung health syncing with MyFitnessPal?

I've done all the connections, given all required permissions, followed all troubleshooting advice (emptying the cache, uninstalling, reinstalling etc).. the syncing appears to be working with data going from MyFitnessPal to Samsung health but not the opposite way.

And when I try to set up Samsung health as my step counter, MyFitnessPal comes up with an error message not even giving my the option of selecting Samsung health.

Help please!

  • Hi
MFP no longer supports Samsung, as of Oct 2021! Super helpful I know! I have a Samsung Galaxy watch and it won't log the steps on MFP.
You can link Sumsung Health to Google Fit and then link Google Fit to MFP. But I found that Google didn't accurately count my steps. All a bit of a ball ache.
Strava is good and free. You can link walks, runs, workouts and it appears on MFP.
    Hope that helps a little.

I spent several hours screaming at my phone because it wouldn't link to my watch!
  • I'm having the same problem with Google fit. It has all the permissions and shows connected. I've done all of the trouble shooting and nothing.

I'm so disappointed by this too! Spent yesterday doing all sorts of troubleshooting, wondering why it won't sync with Samsung Health and my Watch.
  • Samsung and Google health just don't sync.
