I am confused, is this free or not, I understand Premium costs, I don't want premium at this time

There is a premium version, but you can also use the free version of My Fitness Pal.
Premium has a few more functionalities (no ads, customizing nutrition goals...) but free is enough for a lot of people.0 -
there is nothing that the premium version offers that I have to have. I've lost almost 200 pounds at this point (since 2014). sometimes i stumble across a feature that would be NICE to be able to use, but nothing that is needed.0

Have used the free version since 2013 and never saw the need to upgrade to premium.1
