Hi everyone! 32 y/o in Raleigh NC. I've packed the pounds ON like never before during COVID. I've always been big but boy oh boy did I do nothing but sit at home and eat for a solid year. I am 5'9" and topped the scale at 301 about 3 weeks ago. I've managed to get down to 288 counting calories and cycling. I'd love to motivate others and get healthy in the meantime!1

Hi. 64 yo RN, 5'4", was 255 lbs 9/14/20. Was 240.5 lbs 5/3/21. Started MFP 5/14/21. 133 lbs to lose. 10/13/21-188.8 lbs-66.2 lbs off so far, so almost 1/2 way. Lost this same amount before in 2009-2010 and then got lazy and gained it back. Lots of clothes in my closet to get back into again!1

Now down over 75 lbs, broke 180 lbs finally, 179.2 lbs today!
Continue to get on my Elliptical 3x/week on my off days. Today did 3.5 hours(I do this straight through) for 15.25 miles!0 -
Hi!! I really want to be part of this group! I need a LOT of help. I’m 5’5” and a bit over 250 pounds. I put on almost 100 pounds since the pandemic. My body has changed so much. I am trying to make small changes to what I eat, but it’s a struggle dealing with all my cravings! I also am not really in shape to exercise. I have never been a very active girl and most workouts are just too challenging for me….
I would love to lose 100 pounds but honestly just getting to 200 would feel like such a big accomplishment for me!! Please friend request me and help me lose the weight!!!
I made a thread about my weight here: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10839023/getting-back-in-shape-after-80-pound-pandemic-weight-gain-please-help/p1
That thread was in July and I feel really ashamed that I haven’t made any progress since then. I really need to feel a lot of encouragement and support please!!2 -
The best things that happened to me is trying Keto (easiest WOE I have ever done) and starting on MFP to log and hold me accountable. I have had no cravings! I used to eat chocolate on most days. I have only had 3 pieces of gourmet type cake (work peoples birthdays and very much worth the calories, a lot aren't worth it) since 5/14 when I started MFP.

Hey everyone! Another yo yo dieter over here...certainly the heaviest I've ever been in my whole life and to be honest keep trying to look for the 'easy' option, but the truth is the last time I did really well, lost weight, and felt so amazing and confident in my body was 2015 by having a personal trainer and logging on MFP. Fast forward several years, I've taken the plunge and joined a 28 day challenge at a local small gym with a PT, and am back on MFP...Hoping I survive my 1st 6:30am training session next Monday!
As an American living in the UK I always find it really comforting to be able to spend time talking with others (like me) as they have such different views on weight and weight loss here that it will be nice to engage with a group like this one;)
Thanks and good luck!

I have about 115 to lose. Feel free to add me! I can't add anyone since this latest update for some reason1

Behaved very well over Thanksgiving and today I hit an 80 lb weight loss since 9/14/20 of my 133 lb goal. Also 1 more lb and I'll be classified as overweight instead of Obese!2
-
Hello everyone.
Hope you are all doing ok. I have over 100lbs to lose. Not sure where to start but I guess this is a good place to connect with like minded people. I have lost 10lbs on my own, however, I had lost 33lbs earlier this year but gained 23lbs of it back on 😔
I will try and keep in touch for accountability. Good luck everyone!1 -
Hey there! I have over 100 to loose too! Please add me! I need new MFP buddies!2
-
Hi everyone. How are we all doing? Well I hope. Day 1 for me. Managed to track and stay on plan! I resisted a takeaway when I had to grab a few things from the supermarket - would often end up in a drive through for food on the way home.
I somehow lost 1lbs this morning....not sure how after an indulgent weekend. But you know what I'll take that! It was the motivation I needed to keep going today!
So I am keeping myself busy coming on here as my dinner of veggie pasta is cooking. I love roasted Mediterranean veg and saved enough calories for some lovely fresh pasta. I have decided I am not going to deprive myself of my favourite foods. I will build them into my weekly plan and ensure I have the calories for them.
So how are you guys doing? What are you having for dinner tonight?
Overall I have lost 11lbs from my heaviest weight. I would live to make it a stone by losing 3lbs by the end of week one!
Heaviest weight: 20st 5lbs (285lbs)
Current weight: 19st 8lbs (274lbs)
Goal weight....not sure yet! Will see how I feel.
Good luck everyone!0 -
Hi- kinda late to your post but definitely interested in having A support group. Im also in my mid 30s and today is my first day recommitting to my health goals.1
-
Hi to the new members joining.
Behaved over Thanksgiving and today 11/29 down 80.8 lbs. 0.2 lbs away from being OVERWEIGHT instead of OBESE!1 -
Hi! I'm a mom in my 30's and have about 110 lbs to lose! feel free to add i need new MFP friends too1
-
Gained 2 lbs. Hopefully my usual uptick before a drop or water weight from Mission BBQ last evening. Still loss at 5.6 lbs for November of my 5 lb goal but 7.6 would have been nicer.0
-
Well I didn't get to the 180 or below. Had an uptick to 181.8 lbs but I was true to my calories, carbs, water and exercise so just a normal weight fluctuation. So I lost 30.2 lbs during the 3 month challenge. Which is excellent!
So starting 11/1 at 181.8 lbs with goal of 15 lbs for the 3 months. This 10 lb average / month that has been going on has got to slow down soon, I'm thinking.
Welcome back to past challengers and to the new ones!
64 yo 5' 4" Heaviest Weight twice-255 lbs, got down to 122 lbs 2010 and kept it off 5 years then got lazy.
11/1/21-181.8 lbs
11/7/21-180 lbs! Down 75 lbs.
11/14/21-176.6 lbs! Down 5.2 lbs of my monthly goal of 5 lbs and my 15 lbs for the 3 months. 78.4 lbs lost. About 60% loss of my goal of 133 lbs to lose. Did 223 minutes on my Elliptical today. I wanted to finish the last 10 minutes of the movie and wanted to hit the 16 mile mark!
11/21/21-177.4 lbs-stayed under my allotted calories/water but did eat 400-600 more calories than my usual 1000-1200. Had 1689 but with exercise was allowed 3804. I don't normally eat any of my exercise calories back. I have been losing about 10 lbs/month but expected it to slow down a month or 2 ago. Guess thats what it is doing now.
11/28/21-175 lbs. Down 80 lbs total, 6.8 lbs for November goal of 5 lbs! I did fairly well on Thanksgiving. I did my Elliptical in the morning (216 minutes-15.25 miles) At the 3 pm lunch I only ate meat (turkey, ham & pork) and broccoli and no gravy. (The sides just weren't calling to me to eat/try them, as usual, in the past). Later that night I did have a small piece of a homemade flan (I never had it before and the girl who made it is in pastry school) and someone else brought a pumpkin cheesecake that looked wondrous, from a Farmer's Market bakery, that I had brought home. I had 1,357 calories of my allotted 3,810, for the day.
12/1/21-176.2 lbs
12/5/21-171.8 lbs- Down 4.4 lbs for December already. Total 83.2 lbs
Crossed out of Obese Category into Overweight yesterday. Also wearing size 10 jeans for a couple weeks but tried on a brand new pair of 8's with the tags on yesterday. Zipped them right up easily but my flabby belly hangs out bad over the waistband so abdominal crunches starting!2 -
Hi! I just joined this group. I’m a mom and I need to lose at least 100 lbs. it’s been a hard struggle. So I hope this group will be a good fit. So far reading your comments are uplifting.0

Hi! I'm Mary from Pennsylvania.
Back again! Will post weight on Sundays. Sticking with what has been working for me since 5/14/21. 1000-1200 calories/day,
Net Carbs15 +/- 3 grams(some days actually less), 70+ oz water/day, only 2 meals/day on non work days (I work 4 days/week) and exercise on my non work days (as I work long days).
UGW-122 lbs
Down 84.2 lbs of 132 lb goal to lose.
Oct goal was 10 lbs Almost made it!, loss -9.6 lbs
Nov goal was 5 lbs Made it, loss -5.6 lbs!
Dec goal is also 5 lbs, loss so far -5.4 lbs! Made my goal!
9/14/20-255 lbs Highest weight twice :-(
5/3/21-240.5 lbs
6/1/21-228.8 lbs
7/1/21-222.2 lbs
8/1/21-212.0 lbs
9/1/21-200.0 lbs
10/1/21-191.4 lbs
11/1/21-181.8 lbs
12/1/21-176.2 lbs
12/5/21-171.8 lbs. I'm wearing size 10 jeans but yesterday I tried on a brand new pair of 8's, (with tags on) l found in my closet. I zipped them right up without any trouble. Only reason I won't wear them yet is my flabby stomach hangs over the waist really bad. Need to start doing abdominal crunches! Also as of yesterday I am no longer Obese on the BMI scale (even though as a RN, I don't really think it's a super tool. My sons who are very fit, are sometimes classified as Obese and one only has 4-6% body fat. We seem to be solidly built people. I've always weighed more than people think). So I'm now Overweight! Can't wait though to hit the Normal anyway! About 26-28 lbs to go for that.
12/12/21-170.8 lbs Was at a work Christmas bowling party last night. They had snacks and were to have some Keto friendly ones. They had pizza, french fries and BREADED chicken nuggets. I didn't have any. Glad I took some of my own to munch. I had a hard boiled egg, colby jack string cheese, pecans and water.
I expected a bigger drop today. Was hoping for 160 something but will take it. I did 242 minutes on my Elliptical for 17 miles today.
Couldn't wait for my regular weigh-in day on Sunday. I just had to share...
12/14/21-169.4 lbs! Finally under 170! But now all I think about is the next goal for the scale of under 150! Down 85.6 lbs total, 12.4 lbs already of my 15 lb goal for November, December & January. I had a later start for my Elliptical today so only did 140 minutes for 11 miles.

Hi everyone.
Wow swimmom_1 you are doing amazing! Great job!
Sorry I haven't posted, I lost all motivation and have gained a few more lbs since I last posted. I was 274lbs but since all the festivities I am now 277lbs. I am finding it hard as I am very overwhelmed by the 100+lbs I have to lose.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and enjoying Boxing Day. We will be eating more food! But as of tomorrow I will be trying to go back to healthy eating!
Take care and I look forward to hearing about your progress - keep up the fab work everyone! 🙂0 -

12/25/21-167.2 lbs I did 180 minutes on my Elliptical for 11.3 miles. I did well for my food intake with prime rib, roasted veggies and a strawberry, feta spring salad with nuts with no dressing on it but I did have pumpkin cheesecake. I was under for my calories though.
12/26/21-165.6 lbs! So I lost over Thanksgiving and Christmas! Did 240 minutes on my Elliptical today for 16 miles. Wearing size 8 jeans today and a medium flannel shirt I haven't worn since 2014. I'm down 89.4 lbs of my 133 lb loss goal. 90 lbs is just around the corner and 100 lbs around the bend. I also had a goal of 15 lbs for Nov, Dec and Jan and I'm already at a loss of 16.2 lbs with 5 days left for December. I'm not going to slow down but keep on what is working for me. Full steam ahead!
@Neds1980 It happens just hop back on the Train!
