So I get home from the grocery store and I wash my celery and cut into it and I see all of these Brown marks inside and tgroughout and it looks super unappealing!
I feel stupid having to ask whether or not it's bad but when I looked it up the only thing I kept seeing about bad salary is that it gets floppy and slimy and the celery is neither of those things it is Firm and not slimy so what's the deal? I can't find information about what's going on with my particular celery stalk. Do you know?

Just cut out the brown parts. They're not poison, but possibly not pleasant. Eat the green parts, they're fine. It's some kind of damage at some point in production/transport.
If the whole celery bunch is riddled with it, and you just bought it, you could take it back to the store and complain, if you wish.
If it's only a bit of brown here and there, trim it away, eat the rest.5 -

Looks like some sort of fungus, I would toss it....and keep only the rest of the stalk if light green, firm and healthy.2

Thanks ya'll.. It got tossed. The whole thing was ridden with it all over, all different stalks. Dang!! Hope the next pick is better. It's like a kick in the pants when you try to eat healthier and something goes wrong with it.2
