Interesting! I actually got jump started while on vacation this summer. Was in DC in August and used bikes to get around mostly. It was super hot and humid, and I was biking a lot. Got home and was 3 to 4 lbs lighter. Probably all water weight, but it felt good. I kept going and am 20 lbs down now. Funny how it can work out!
I was at a wedding. Cake, wine, tacos, and BBQ don't lend themselves to low caloric intake. Had to rely on good habits I had developed when calorie tracking became impossible. Actually got a few compliments at the wedding because I had lost 20+ pounds since the last time some people saw me.

Update: I have officially dropped to the pants size I was in HIGH SCHOOL.37

I’ve gotten back into my jogging and riding. I have jogged and ridden my horse every day for the past 4 days (today is day 5, I have just finished my 5km jog, just having some breakfast then off to ride.)
Also yesterday my boss bought everyone a soft serve from Maccas. I contemplated eating it right then and there but told myself to wait to see what my calories looked like at the end of the day. At the end of the day I did have enough calories leftover but I opted for a serve of choc mint ice cream instead because I prefer that and if I’m going to spend calories, I want to enjoy it instead of eating it just because. This is HUGE for me. In the past I would have eaten the Maccas ice cream at work and went “oh well I’m already over my calories, may as well give up for today and start again tomorrow.” Then tomorrow would come and I’d self sabotage again.25 -
Put these on yesterday and they literally fell off my kitten.
Am now giving them away. If you want them I am happy to mail them anywhere in the US.
Walmart brand. Size 3X. Elastic waist. Slim leg. Very comfortable.
I’ll wait two days before I post them locally. Lemme know.
My NSV can be yours in a few months, too!

I ran for 21 minutes straight without having to walk. That's the longest I've ever run in my life.40

I ate a partial serving of chocolate today. Not a whole serving. Not the whole bag. Just enough to make me happy, but not kill my calories for the day. This is huge for me as chocolate can sometimes send me into fits of grazing the cupboard for snacks. Not today.

Yesterday my towel dit around my boobs again and almost covered my ... Kitten
In a few kilo's I hope it will cover my entire stomach too!
And another one, I ran for about 20-30 meters yesterday without getting winded or hurting my leg. (old injury, thought I would never run again) I just wanted to try running and I felt like it so I did it. Didn't even focus on all the ... Jiggly bits. I was just so happy I could do it. I didn't want to overdo it so I quit. (Definitely felt it in my old injury spots later, but I'm so happy I did it)22 -
I still have a particular pair of jeans that I bought when I was 18. I totally love them but they haven't fitted for years. I'm now 41 and had two children and they fit me again for the first time in probably 20 years.29

My waist size 36 jeans are getting too big, they'll slide right off without a belt. (For reference, when I was at my heaviest I had bought a couple pairs of size 42.) Most men's pants come in even sizes. I didn't think I was quite yet ready for a 34, but went to a local thrift store and bought a couple pairs of 34 thinking in another 5-10 pounds or so they'll fit. While one pair was a little tight yet, the second pair fit just fine.21

I started doing water aerobics classes back in the summer, but the scale wasn't moving. About 2 weeks ago, I realized that my bathing suit was too loose. I think it's time to shop for a size down.24

I made it up the very steep sledding hill at the very end in 1:44 though at the top I felt like I might fall backwards and roll to the bottom. 😂 The fastest several people did the hill was 20 seconds = wow! Only 44 people did it in under one minute.
Thank you for this post. You have motivated me to get off my duff and start exercising again. I have used the excuse for too long that I'm too old (68 currently). Have lost 100 lbs. so far, but would like to firm up this body and possibly lose the last 60 lbs. a little faster with exercising. Happy belated birthday. Hope you had a good healthy one.10 -

My rings can now spin around on my fingers instead of being stuck tight. I’m so happy about it that I keep spinning them compulsively 😊 Also, my fat work trousers were getting tight and uncomfortable, but they fit perfectly this morning! My next goal is to fit comfortably into my regular work trousers.16

this morning I tossed on clothes and zoomed out the door. Only once I was in front of the full-length mirror in the restroom at work did I notice my shirt is one that I liked well enough to keep despite it not being as long as I prefer--but it's actually a bit long now! I keep touching the hem to check how far down on my hips it falls.20

I was scrolling through our security cameras screens and was startled that there was a woman sitting on the sofa in the family room....it was me, I was looking at me sitting there23

I had developed a hump between my shoulders after my massive weight gain(inherited from my late paternal grandmother) last night I stepped into shower and saw in the mirror it's gone!!! My shoulders look pretty toned too just a bit broad for my liking but hey one step at a time!!!16

30Wx32 Levis went on today. Wore them to work and I didn’t pass out. 🤣 Been 30 years since I last fit in this size. Inseam longer than my waist 🤯23

Went to the doctor for the results of my blood work. My cholesterol went from 206 to 160, LDL Cholesterol from 120 to 87, and Triglycerides from 160 to 71, My doctor and I both were very impressed.37

I love reading about all these successes!! Way to go - such inspiration!12

I shattered a knee cap a few years ago. I like exercise videos to follow if I am at home, but many of them incorporate squats, which are painful to my knee. I have been working on doing the routines with an alternate move but throwing in a few of the squats to try and reap the benefits. I am noticing that the muscles around my knee are stronger, more flexible, and I can do more and more of them without pain. Yay!32

Back on the diet and exercise wagon today after plummeting off and rolling. Already feeling better. Hoping for more NSV in the future.20

The other day, it was really too late to eat. I had done pretty good for the day. I went to the pantry and got a healthy snack that happened to be about 200 calories. As I almost opened it, I decided that the kitchen actually WAS closed.
So I ended up with 37 calories left for the day instead of going over by 160. I felt fine in the morning.35 -
Touched my toes. (This is a flexibility victory, not related to weight loss.)
Ran 60 paces (I don't RUN. I walk briskly. 3.5mph is my happy place. But I was able to run a little.)
Got my a** up and out and walked a brisk 5 miles at the park.26 -
I've always walked my dog, but with 40-50 pounds gone, moving around, going up hills, just general movement is so much easier! And I've noticed my shadow is smaller27

I have one of the various forms of depression. And it’s very well managed by medication. But it didn’t use to be, I used to very much self medicate with food. And that is one of the reasons I got to be my original very high weight. And over the years I have learned other coping mechanisms. However, this time of year is particularly difficult for me, mood wise, and I tend to have breakthrough symptoms. And I don’t always remember my healthy coping mechanisms. Sometimes I eat instead. And today, after sitting underneath my blanket for a couple of hours moping, I finally poked my head out and told my husband that I needed to do *something* to make myself feel better and that I was totally unwilling to turn to food this time. So we brainstormed and came up with something that had ended up working last year, and did that. And it worked! And I can continue to do it whenever necessary for the rest of my “difficult season”, now that we have resurrected it. The last time I felt depressed it was because my doctor had me make a dosage adjustment on my medication that didn’t work out so well, and I gained 7 pounds in a few days. So, I am very happy with myself for having cleared the hurdle safely this time around.32

Uhm hello. I did definitely not expect it to happen so soon but today my stomach is covered by the towel. I didn't even realize my stomach was going down although my back rolls are smaller.
I guess it's just one of those kitchen paper rolls things, where in the start of the roll you can't see a difference when you take of a paper but near the end there's a visual difference.
My stomach being my "problem area" where I'm most focused to lose weight probably is part of why I didn't notice.21
