    Back to the OPs burritos-I'm sure they are delicious, but I would probably end up eating like 3 of those in one sitting. I'd rather have a bulky 350-400 cal burrito that would be an actual meal rather than a 214 cal one that leaves me hungry an hour later.

    And I'm betting those bad boys come in around at least 350 calories each? Maybe more? lol

    Is 350 so bad? Depending on the amount of cheese they could be way less, but 350 calories for the main entree in a meal is still pretty good. I'd probably have two if it was dinner.

    No, I inferred it from the wording and the "lol" at the end. But perhaps that was my bad.

    I'm just curious, why do people put rice in their burritos? Beans, meat and salsa yes, but rice? I am a U.S. born Mexican and I had never heard of it until I started going to Mexican restaurants which I rarely go to because I'd rather make my Mexican food at home or eat my mom's. Anyway, I thought it was just a restaurant thing to make them bigger.

    honestly i like the taste and i needed to add more carbs to my burritos, so rice was a logical choice

    It was more so kind of wondering just what they were since no recipe was posted and I know what some burritos I've had recently were in calories. :drinker:

    Yeah I guess if you like it and rice will definitely raise the calories and carbs. Don't get me wrong I love Mexican rice and I can eat the whole pan but I don't think I can eat it anymore it's way too many calories for me. I try not to make it because it's too much temptation. lol

    Seriously.

    I think a good burrito is worth more than 350 calories. Any less and it's probably underfilled.

    Burritos should be delicious and brawny.

    Example of a proper brawny burrito - vegan style.

    They look pretty tasty. How many grams of rice and chicken did you use so not to overpack them?

    for all 3 combined i used;
    12.6oz chicken (raw weight)
    270g rice (cooked in water, tumeric, cayenne, and garlic)
    1 can of refried beans
    3 10" tortillas

    there's a local mexican place that has the 5lb burrito challenge, you have to finish it in under 1hr, i'm totally ready for that. this batch of burritos took me maybe 15min to finish
