Went to the doctor for the results of my blood work. My cholesterol went from 206 to 160, LDL Cholesterol from 120 to 87, and Triglycerides from 160 to 71, My doctor and I both were very impressed.37

I shattered a knee cap a few years ago. I like exercise videos to follow if I am at home, but many of them incorporate squats, which are painful to my knee. I have been working on doing the routines with an alternate move but throwing in a few of the squats to try and reap the benefits. I am noticing that the muscles around my knee are stronger, more flexible, and I can do more and more of them without pain. Yay!32

Back on the diet and exercise wagon today after plummeting off and rolling. Already feeling better. Hoping for more NSV in the future.20

The other day, it was really too late to eat. I had done pretty good for the day. I went to the pantry and got a healthy snack that happened to be about 200 calories. As I almost opened it, I decided that the kitchen actually WAS closed.
So I ended up with 37 calories left for the day instead of going over by 160. I felt fine in the morning.35 -
Touched my toes. (This is a flexibility victory, not related to weight loss.)
Ran 60 paces (I don't RUN. I walk briskly. 3.5mph is my happy place. But I was able to run a little.)
Got my a** up and out and walked a brisk 5 miles at the park.26 -
I've always walked my dog, but with 40-50 pounds gone, moving around, going up hills, just general movement is so much easier! And I've noticed my shadow is smaller27

I have one of the various forms of depression. And it’s very well managed by medication. But it didn’t use to be, I used to very much self medicate with food. And that is one of the reasons I got to be my original very high weight. And over the years I have learned other coping mechanisms. However, this time of year is particularly difficult for me, mood wise, and I tend to have breakthrough symptoms. And I don’t always remember my healthy coping mechanisms. Sometimes I eat instead. And today, after sitting underneath my blanket for a couple of hours moping, I finally poked my head out and told my husband that I needed to do *something* to make myself feel better and that I was totally unwilling to turn to food this time. So we brainstormed and came up with something that had ended up working last year, and did that. And it worked! And I can continue to do it whenever necessary for the rest of my “difficult season”, now that we have resurrected it. The last time I felt depressed it was because my doctor had me make a dosage adjustment on my medication that didn’t work out so well, and I gained 7 pounds in a few days. So, I am very happy with myself for having cleared the hurdle safely this time around.32

Yesterday my towel dit around my boobs again and almost covered my ... Kitten
In a few kilo's I hope it will cover my entire stomach too!
Uhm hello. I did definitely not expect it to happen so soon but today my stomach is covered by the towel. I didn't even realize my stomach was going down although my back rolls are smaller.
I guess it's just one of those kitchen paper rolls things, where in the start of the roll you can't see a difference when you take of a paper but near the end there's a visual difference.
My stomach being my "problem area" where I'm most focused to lose weight probably is part of why I didn't notice.21 -

I made it up the very steep sledding hill at the very end in 1:44 though at the top I felt like I might fall backwards and roll to the bottom. 😂 The fastest several people did the hill was 20 seconds = wow! Only 44 people did it in under one minute.
Thank you for this post. You have motivated me to get off my duff and start exercising again. I have used the excuse for too long that I'm too old (68 currently). Have lost 100 lbs. so far, but would like to firm up this body and possibly lose the last 60 lbs. a little faster with exercising. Happy belated birthday. Hope you had a good healthy one.
Thank you for letting me know. I love that I can be someone's motivation!7 -

I had to order some new scrubs today. I love scrubs because they don’t care if you gain a few pounds, but they also fit for a long time when you’re losing. My scrubs are all the same size, but some run larger and some run smaller. All the larger are long gone. The smaller now needs replacing.24

Congratulations! Coincidentally, I've done the same thing!
My latest NSV is hitting 300,000 steps in a single month. This is far beyond what I had been doing.
I had my daily goal set to 2,000 steps a day. As I progressed, I got to where most days I'd exceed that, but some days I wouldn't hit the mark. I have a Garmin watch, and Garmin has these challenges in various activities. I've joined many of them. For October, I joined these 2 challenges, among others:
1. take 300,000 steps from October 1st through October 31st, and
2. take at least 10,000 steps/day for 30 days in a row.
(As you can see, since I started on October 1st, I could accomplish both goals on October 30th.)
So far, as of today October 26th, I've managed 10,000 steps a day for 26 days straight. Yesterday, I met the first challenge when I exceeded 300,000 steps for the month. I have 4 more days to meet the 2nd challenge of hitting 10,000 steps a day for 30 days.
I'm kind of amazed. There's no way I would have accomplished this without the motivation that these challenges provide.

@Deanner03
Scrubs are forgiving when your losing. I was rolling my waist band down about 3 widths. Got new ones 6-8 weeks ago (2 sizes smaller than previous ones) and they are starting to get baggy now too! Hoping they will do till I can get to 2 sizes smaller again!
Also, as I have seen others commenting here, today I was sitting on my son's sofa and I was crossing my legs, without even thinking, comfortably both ways, left over right and right over left! With my L leg broken in 2015 near my knee and all the metal inserted to repair it, I NEVER thought I would be able to do that ever again!27
