So...I started the 30 day shred with jillian michaels last night. K so level 1 and 30 min and I thought I was going to die!!! I didnt realize how out of shape I was I guess, bummer. Question...how do you log that in your exercises? Do you have to keep track of each individual exercise you do? Thanks for the help!!

Circuit Training General should do it. That's what I do and others had recommended it to me too.

I log as circuit training. It's fairly accurate for me but if you use a HRM I would go by that. Well done for starting it :drinker:
  • I just did day 2 level one, and I actually feel better. It was easier, although the pushups were hell with my sore muscles, but it does get easier!

I use a HRM and log it according to that as one of my own created exercises. It's always in the low 200's for me.
  • I burned about 200+ calories in that woukout but I used a HRM... log it under cardio as circuit training. Level 2 I burned 250+. It will get easier by the 5-6 day.

    Good Luck!!
  • Thank you guys!! So how long do you normally stay on one level? I know it says "whenever your ready" but I dont really dont know how to tell. Is it just when it isnt very difficult anymore?

Circuit training general for 20 minutes is very accurate! I have a heart rate monitor and the numbers are very close! Add me if you would like, today is day 4 for me and I'm lovi!ng it :)

I am on Level 3 Day 1 starting tomorrow (this is my second time to do the Shred). I log it as 20 minutes of Calisthenics.
Happy Shredding.....you'll be glad you stuck with it! By Day 4 you will work out the soreness and feel amazing....it gets better from there. I am moving on to Ripped in 30 on October 1.

Hi :) I log all of Jillian's DVDs as circuit training. Great job starting 30 day shred! I first started doing Jillian's DVDs in April and it has gotten SOOO much easier :D

Good luck! When I started it back in May, I did not consider myself out of shape. I had been running for a while. After the first day of the shred, I couldn't walk I was in so much pain. I didn't realize how weak I was. It gets easier if you stick with it. Now when I go back and do level 1, I have to try to make it harder to get a good workout. It's amazing how well it works and how strong you will get! I just log it as 20 minutes of circuit training since there really is only 20 minutes of working out hard.

If you don't have a HRM, log it as 27 minutes Circuit Training. That's what it is. :)

I stuck with 10 days at each level. I would probably stay on a level though if you were still having a hard time completing it after 10 days. If you stick with it, you should be ready to move up after 10 days.
