Stretching

I've started a personalized exercise routine that includes cardio, strength and stretching. I can track the first 2 easily, but MFP has no stretching section (like yoga). I have to use Notes. I appreciate stretching isn't a calorie burner but it's an important part of a rounded routine. Good strength training includes a stretching warm-up too. I'd like to be able to track this. Thanks for the consideration.

It's actually not good to do static stretching before strength training or aerobic activities like running, etc. Warmups should be dynamic in nature.

You can actually log yoga under the cardio section though, just as you can log strength training under cardio. The strength training section is just to log your actual lifts and weight used.

Thanks, cwolfman13. Good tip on logging. I do yoga separately from other exercises. I mentioned the example as some programs do include stretching before or after.

@dafrabu, if you want to add stretching exercises or yoga postures as reps/sets (not for calories, but to keep track of what you did, how many down dog or whatever), you can add custom exercises of your own under the strength part of the exercise log, too. They can be anything you want to call them, they don't have to be actual strength things.
