It's nothing compared to most folks, but yesterday on my 1/2 hour walk, I spontaneously started jogging twice, for a minute each time (0.1/mile). Superficially, it seems a total nothingburger but but then I am reminded that (1) when this happened for the first time last week, I was able to jog only 30 seconds at a time; and (2) the last time I was able to jog a block all without pain in my knees was 20 years ago. 40 pounds really has made a huge difference, in terms of ability, breath control, and motivation. I hope to keep building, 30 seconds at a time, one day at a time for however long it takes, to a full mile!

Today was a great day. I went back through my closet and tried things on. I'm now out of my size 20 jeans and comfortably into size 18. Goodwill will be getting a stack of clothes this week and I'll shop there for the next size down.
After my closet, I headed to the swimming pool where I usually swim for an hour. I decided I felt strong enough and had the time to try for a mile...which I did in 80 minutes. Really happy with my progress over the last six months. In July, my average 100 yard split was 10:52 and I swam 550 yards in 57 minutes. Today, my average 100 yards split is 4:25 and I swam 1825 yards in 80 minutes. Pretty incredible.

Great work!!! That's some terrific swim progress and a lot of hard work showing. Well Done! Does your name mean Colorado Blue Jay? I've got 2 pair hanging in my back yard right now. I'm In Colorado Springs and just got back in the pool after a long layoff too.

Today I ran on the treadmill and didn't feel my thighs rub together. Three months ago I had to use anti-chafe and now they're not rubbing at all!16

Had a riding lesson last night and was able to do a good half of it in sitting trot and it felt good!
I got a high five from my instructor cause she could tell I had really been working on my posture, aids and seat.
My core muscles have got to the point where they aren't incredibly sore after a lesson anymore!
I no longer feel like an uncontrolled sack of potatoes18 -
Had some NSV's today. Our desk at work is high and we have high chairs. Today I had the chair set higher than before because I couldn't get into it up high. Today I could because my butt is smaller. Also my L leg that had the Tibial Plateau Fracture could actually now bend enough to put it on the leg rest under the seat!18

Yesterday I was able to run continuously for 5 minutes. When I started running I struggled to run for 1 minute. I am looking forward to being able to run 5k without needed to break it up with walks.19

I had 1 egg instead of 2 in my egg salad sandwich and found I didn’t need the extra egg. Saved myself 70 calories! Yippee!18

I am gaining muscle on my forearms as they look bigger than usual. I am so thrilled about this, can't wait to put on more mass before summer arrives.12

I'm not lifting (just elliptical), but have seen a visible change in my biceps. Ok, it's probably noticeable to no one else but me, but still.... Anyway, I've been making my daughter laugh by flexing my tiny bicep occasionally while shouting "Sun's out, Guns out!".

I hate to go to the hair salon because I don't like to see the image that the mirror returns of me seating in front of it. Last Friday I was due for a haircut and color. Oh surprise! I actually liked the person I saw reflected on the mirror. ☺25

Bought a new belt because my old one now fits on the last hole. It is a smidge tight, but I can put it on! It fits up to 34 inch waist size, which means at least some of the 36 inch waist size I'm recording is extra skin.12

Finally able to lounge in the jeans I couldn't get into 3 months ago.
A week ago I had them on for a few hours but not comfortably, today they're comfy and loose enough to be lounging around in them without needing to undo any zipper or button
Scale has been going up & down but I'm heading in the right direction21 -
I made it through my zumba class with flying colors today. That hour went by so fast. I'm picking up the dance moves and can fully participate without having to stop to catch my breath. I just found out I can pick up a third class within the week. This girl is going for it!19

This may sound silly but I made 5 pumpkin rolls today and didn't sample the batter or the Cream Cheese Icing! I'm hoping to figure out a Keto Friendly recipe till Christmas. Making the apple and pumpkin pies tomorrow!13

Yesterday I ran for 1km without needing to stop and walk! I'm hoping 2-5 come quicker because it's taken me months to be here, but it's easier to run 10kg lighter too.17

Went hiking on Friday and Saturday and averaged 20k steps each day. Then yesterday I went 85 minutes on my gazelle. No pain from any of it so I'm stoked.21

I was doing laundry today, and as I pulled some shirts out of the dryer I was thinking "Whose shirt is this??" Yeah, it is mine. I have been wearing the new $3 tees in a size large for a couple of weeks, but the dryer went out last week, and the hubby fixed it on Sat night. So now I keep looking at the shirts on the hangers like, "no, that is way to small to be mine."23

Congratulations.
I remember doing that same thing with jeans before. Thinking "who do these small jeans belong to?" Thinking they were my sons then realizing they were mine! Can't wait, will soon get back to that again!8 -
Whilst browsing in a shop yesterday their camera TV screen caught my eye.
I had to double take at the woman on the screen that was me.

Last time I ran 10 miles in one shot was back in 93… got it done yesterday.31

Did 35 normal push ups today. Feels great to get stronger.24

When I started at the gym again you could see my stomach whenever I did an incline bench exercise. I've lost 23lbs in the last 21 weeks and can no longer see my stomach when doing incline bench exercises! I'm also the strongest I have ever been at 270lb 1rm on the Bench.18

The peoples house, where I went today for Thanksgiving, have a very steep driveway. I've had trouble walking it. Today being 60+ lbs lighter, than when I was there last, it was easy!26
