I can get out of bed without grabbing the windowsill for support.25

Got a flu and a covid booster shot today, one in each arm. The pharmacist told me 3 times to relax my arm, but they were relaxed. Weight training is starting to show!17

At work, I enlisted 3 friends to keep me accountable. Not to what I'm eating necessarily, because that can get creepy. I've just asked them to check with me if I logged today. Today is a new first day, and yes, I've logged today.
Welcome back, don't feel embarrassed a lot of us have been there. The point is your here now, I like the accountability buddies that's great. But you know you can also set up reminders from MFP that will remind you to log your meals for the day, which is a great feature.
Take it one day at a time and keep coming back for the support here and the usefulness of the articles and wonderful information here that will help you on your journey to your goal. Give yourself grace we all have bumps along the way to our goals and sometimes those bumps are back and forth until we reach our destination.12 -
Went 60 minutes last night on my Gazzelle at a fairly high level of effort and then did some upper body weight training for 15 minutes.
Still rather sore from last night I was able to do 5 chin ups in the gym at work this morning.10 -
Everyone's been complimenting my weight loss lately. Coworkers, friends, etc.
One random lady (who was much older) randomly "cat called me" and said I had a nice body.
I'm no longer the fattest guy in the room. There's no Xs in any of my clothes. I generally feel pretty great.24 -
Had to do a double take at the gym today. Recently bought a new workout shirt, as all of mine run a little too big now. Something about seeing myself in fitted workout clothes in the gym mirror doing goblet squats made me realize just how much weight I've lost. Because I see my reflection every day in the bathroom mirror, I don't always notice the difference. I guess the pose and location were unique enough that the difference was noticeable.
I also wore a long sleeved t-shirt from 2017 yesterday. It was half a size too big when I bought it (I was between sizes then) but it looked like I had borrowed someone else's shirt when I put it on yesterday. It was HUGE on me. Easy to say I'm a large now, not an XL or XXL.19 -
I recently got my first comment from a family member that I'm looking thinner
I was also able to get into a pair of leggings that used to be extra tight without having to do the "get over my butt and hips' dance17 -
I crossed the BMI chart from Obese to OVERWEIGHT!!!! I'M THRILLED!39

I went to a charity fundraiser through taekwondo and did 1,000 kicks. It took about an hour and a half.
Then I went and walked 5k.
A year ago I'm not sure I'd have survived that lol. I've done a really good job of whipping myself into shape.18 -
Yesterday I did four chin ups- with big 'ol clunky skates on my feet! I'm trying so hard to beat my previous record of 7 and now I'm more than halfway there. So close!22

I hit my week's worth of 150 'intensity minutes' on Garmin (ie minutes of moderate to vigorous training) today, on Monday, before noon.18

I completed my first week of meal prep and won! I am down 8 lbs today! And this week I'm trying tofu for the first time!18

Haven't been actively cc & not logging either. My health is taking up my energy at the moment. But, while not actively logging & counting I did lose some. Not a lot, definitely not as much as when I'm counting calories and working out but i lost some. I definitely didn't gain.
For me that's an absolute win.
Also... The falling off underwear... Uhm yeah. I decluttered my underwear drawer bc once at home was enough for me to stop it from happening in public 😶16 -
I loooove tofu, if it’s well cooked. Enjoy!
My NSV is kind of wierd. I was just looking at some jeans on a website, admiring how slender the model was, and how good the jeans looked on her.
It’s one of those sites that tells you the model’s height and what size she’s modeling.
To my shock, I realized I’m the same height and I’m ordering two inches smaller than her in the waistband.
That is totally messing with my mind.22 -
I’m posting on behalf of my beloved, who will just never post for himself.
He just ordered smaller swim trunks for aquafit after his old ones billowed up to his chest, lol. He was quite embarrassed, since he’s usually the only guy in the class.
He doesn’t have to know I posted this. 🤫32 -
As ridiculous as it sounds....I just had a non scale victory that doesn't consist of anything to do with size or fit. I know that I am going to dinner tonight with my better half and a friend of ours who is in town. Instead of winging it, I have looked at the menu, the caloric intake, what I do and don't like, what is WORTH it to me in the way of calories and I already logged what my dinner is going to be. I've logged the entire portion, but I suspect I will only eat half of the full portion. BUT - I allowed for the whole restaurant portion. I'm usually an "ask for forgiveness" and not an "ask for permission" person so this was a huge step for me.
Happy Hump Day!38 -
My NSV is that I meal prepped for the week. In theory, I shouldn't have to eat out at all while I'm at work, but of course, I accidentally grabbed the pyrex container of brown rice instead of casserole this morning. One day of Chick fil a nuggets and fruit won't hurt.17

According to my Fitbit, my cardio fitness based on my age and heart rate is in the now in the good to very good range21

Instead of going to the gym today, I tried doing a freeweights routine in our basement using my husband's equipment. For the first time ever, I was able to work those horrible pinch clips and change out my own weight plates without help. I've never had the grip strength to do it before, but I've been working on that lately, and it's paying off! That meant I could set up the whole station to be able to switch between exercises easily. I was SO happy that I changed out the plates multiple times and ended up lifting more than I ever had on several of the exercises. Now I'll be able to lift at home this Winter when the weather's bad. Yay!28

I've got three! The first one is that I visited my endocrinologist yesterday for my diabetes, and all of my numbers were looking great. I'm very happy about that.
The second one is that I also managed to have the "portion size" of a chocolate bar - instead of eating the whole thing. Adjusting to actual portion sizes has been one of the trickier things for me with certain foods. Like I don't feel deprived if I eat the correct portion of oatmeal, but my brain just insists that the portion size of a chocolate bar should be *the bar*. Just for moral reasons. :P (I'm pretty sure the people out there who decide that a portion size is like 2 grains of rice or something are actually demons sent here to torment the rest of us.)
The third one is a bit of a scale one, but I also just realized that I'm more than half-way done with losing the amount of weight I originally wanted to lose. I say originally just because the plan is to reassess if I want to lose more once I get there.
All in all, life is good!23 -
After running six 5K's through the Summer, I attempted my first 5-Mile run. I went out very conservative to insure I made it. I ended up running it in 52:36 which was under my 55:00 goal!
Next I start training for a 10K in the Spring!21 -
I have been the person who never felt full but oftentimes felt emotional hunger. I used to eat because it felt like I was doing something and gave a small hit of pleasure. After 20 months of weighing and logging food, I know when I am physically hungry or full. I find myself less likely to overeat to avoid the overstuffed feeling. There has been much less emotional eating but it is still a work in progress.21

2 things:
1) Earlier, I noticed my stomach getting smaller ; also starting to see stretch marks, woo-hoo! (though I will have them laser'd when I reach goal )
2) Did 3 hours of aerobics today...plan was to do 2 hours, as I've done a few times this month, but then had the time and decided to keep going and ended up a third hour ...just because I felt good, and I wanted to do some aerobics with weights, which I hadn't gotten to during the first 2 hours.11 -
We got new uniforms in work yesterday, I optimistically ordered a smaller size but ended up needing 2 sizes up from that. It was a little disheartening but we could all tell the sizes were messed up.
My NSV was me trying on the 2 sizes up, and even though it's a little snug against the belly, I caught myself thinking 'I'll keep it because in 3+ months it's going to start being big on me'
Rather than getting a bigger one in case I put weight on, that was me knowing that I'm going to lose more weight! Me knowing that my method is so sure and that I have such confidence in it and myself that I keep the uniform that's a little snug because it will fit soon.25 -

Ha! I quite agree.7 -
A Marine (judging from the T-shirt and buzz cut) pulled my trainer aside and told her I was doing great on overhead press.
He didn’t want to tell me himself, lol.
I thought getting an honest compliment from a real live Marine was just the best!20 -
My NSV is that I try not to eat even a gummie vitamin with 15 calories to save the calories. I’ll take the pill with no calories. I’ll stop eating even a small amount of calories just to save the calories. Every little bit helps.11

I went to the Lion King last night. It was the first time I was comfortable in my seat. I wasn't trying to shrink myself down the whole time and actually fit in my seat with my arms on the arm rests. And to know that it only gets better from here...so happy.25
