I was looking to see what everyone's average day of eating is. My normal days are a plain bagel with a little cream cheese and a coffee for breakfast, a special K protein shake for lunch, and then what ever was made for dinner in two finger sized portions.

not sure how useful a comparison to you and others would be since intake is dependent on height/wt/activity etc, unless you wanted a looksie to see what others are eating0

I eat quite a bit more than that but I am exercising 15-20 hours a week and could not survive or continue at that pace on that. I typically eat Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal with 2 % milk and a half cup of fruit for breakfast. Some fruit or carbs for mid-morning snack, leftovers from last nights dinner for lunch, fruit or carbs for afternoon snack, and dinner that typically would be some variation of grilled chicken, brown rice or whole grain pasta, and veggies. Usually at least 1400-1600 calories, once a week about 2400 calories in a day, but like I said, I burn that in the gym. My dinners are usually 400-500 calories each.0

This week was the first week of teaching the kids at school, and every day was pretty much the same-
breakfast is 50 grams of oats mixed with half a scoop of protein powder, one whole egg and 2 egg whites cooked as a pancake.
Lunch is whatever protein option is offered at school- a chicken breakst, or some meatballs and something from the salad bar, sometimes beans, or veggies.
4pm I eat a tortilla filled with cooked chicken and sauteed veggies
if ı go to the gym I have a protein shake afterwards
when ı get home I eat chicken and rice
After dinner I snack on fruit, maybe some yoghurt and a few nuts.
Boring, but after a week I'm in a pretty good routine. Now I'm just worried about my portion sizes, and also I'm not entirely sure how they prepare some of the stuff at school.
I'm eating around 1700-2000 calories per day.0 -

Feel free to view my diary. I eat a ton more than you and I'm still losing weight. I don't feel deprived at all which is my main goal. I know I can lose weight much faster, but I will eventually crash because of the deprivation. And because of the ED history you listed, I'm worried that you are not eating enough. You can still be healthy and eat more.0

I eat 1200 filling calories a day. I usually eat a fiber bar and decaf coffe in the morning or a three egg white omelett with mushrooms, onion, and reduced fat cheddar cheese. The bigger breakfasts are usually on the weekends. Lunch varies with either a half a sandwich with salad (no dressing) or cucumbers or something crunchy and filling. For dinner, I eat a good dinner such as whole wheat spaghetti with sauce (usually in a jar) and a little ground beef (2 oz); two tacos with low carb shells, beans, cheese, cooked brocolli, and lettuce; meatloaf, sweet potato (dry), veggie; steak, salad, carb. This time of year, I still enjoy ice cream but buy slow churned and weigh it out. If I eat out, I just plan ahead or make sure I save enough calories so I can enjoy without overdoing it. Since January I have taken off 66 pounds eating this way and I don't feel deprieved. I try to keep my meals balanced with carbs, proteins, and fats. My goal is to learn eat in moderation and to keep off the weight. I have about 14 more pounds til I hit the goal weight of the charts which is about 5 pounds less than the target weight I set for myself.0

Please don't think I'm being mean, because that's the furthest thing from my mind. Your profile says you've struggled with anorexia in the past and want to lose 12 lbs. to keep your husband's attention.
Please go see a counselor specializing in eating disorders.0 -

I don't think your being mean. I was anorexic 5 years ago and went to a specialist and my hubby helped me through it. I had just posted a few mins ago that I needed to change my outlook on what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. I really do need to lose some weight, that part isn't in my head. I didn't actually noticed I needed to lose it till my in-laws kept asking me if I was pregnant and hadn't told them. The two finger portion is because there is always a ton of food on our dinner table, many things to choose from, so I'll have about five things on my plate but all in that size portion. I make sure to eat the amount of calories listed for me by MFP and sometimes I go over. I don't always eat like I listed, I have slip ups and eat whole pints of rocky road ice cream. I do appreciate your concern0 -
My days are all different except for breakfast, which is almost always a glass of soy milk.
Lunch is usually leftovers, if not leftovers then hummus, pb or cottage cheese with veggies, crackers or fruit are my "go to" lunches.
Dinner is whatever we have in the house and are in the mood for. Usually either some type of grilled meat/fish, roasted veggie and maybe some brown rice or quinoa; or beans and rice. But really, it could be anything healthy that doesn't take a lot of prep time.
My dary is open if you are really curious.0 -

Oh thank goodness! ) I was picturing, I don't know, two fish sticks for dinner or something! Thank you for clarifying!
I used to eat pints of Hagen Daas - didn't even LOOK at the nutritional label - 800 calories! Crazy. Yummy, but yeah, no wonder I got so big!
Now I eat a LOT better - a cup of frozen strawberries with a scoop of protein powder first thing, then yogurt or oatmeal mid-morning, usually a salad with tons of veggies and grilled chicken for lunch, veggie/fruit/nuts for an afternoon snack, and dinner varies but I try to get a good bit of protein and veggies there too. I workout almost every day at lunch and the scale finally started moving down after I upped my calories. It's funny, I still snack all day, but instead of junk from the vending machine, I'm eating real food and losing weight!0 -

lol No I understand, I think I'll add something to my about me section so people don't worry. Hagen-Daas is my biggest frienemy! THAT'S the one I always find time to cheat on my diet with! I'm glad I posted this. Looking at ya'lls diaries and seeing what you eat has helped me find more variety in what I can eat0
