best suggestion is to ignore this poster. Tossing out blanket advice like that is silly and irresponsible on his part.
Log your food accurately. Weigh it. Log it. Use the same entries. After 6 weeks, of legit accurate logging, if you're losing weight, do the math and figure out how much you've lost... by how much you've eaten.

this is a marathon... not a sprint. Losing 3 lbs a week isn't a normal goal and is fine for someone if they're morbidly obese, etc.6
