Congratulations! Be kinder to yourself. Your body just made a baby. It will take time to get your body back. Some people call this the "4th trimester".
Did you get clearance from the OB doctor to workout? Depending on whether you had a c-section or not will determine recovery time.
Are you breastfeeding? That will burn calories because your body is making food for the baby. Some people lose weight during this time and some (like me) couldn't lose a lb since cutting calories cut into my supply.
All in all, enjoy your baby, it does go quickly. Don't worry too much about your post partum body, you will get back.6 -

THIS. Enjoy the tiny human you have created and understand that your body went through some amazing changes to make that happen. What happened over 40 weeks won't be "fixed" overnight. Take care of the wee one for now!

Also keep in mind it takes time for your uterus to shrink. I gave birth to twins in September, and it took about 2 months (I think?) for my body to adjust and shrink down. I still looked like I was about 6 months pregnant when I left the hospital.
With just eating somewhat reasonably (no diet plan or tracking anything) and taking my boys on walks in their stroller on most days, I have lost 55 of the 65 pounds that I gained in the past 4 months.
And keep in mind, if breastfeeding, you burn about 20 calories per ounce produced. That can equal the burn of an intense workout daily.
Congratulations. Enjoy this precious time. I had a C-section, so I'm not sure what the guidelines are for vaginally, and which applies to you, but I wasn't even cleared to workout for 6 weeks.3 -
you just had a BABY. slow your roll. it takes time for your body to recover, both internally and EXTERNALLY. Talk to your OB about how much to eat based on whether or not you are breastfeeding, and when you can exercise.
with my first (many moons ago), I lost all the weight and was in my pre pregnancy jeans .... 6-8 weeks postpartum, without doing anything deliberately.

Thank you everybody for your lovely and encouraging replies 😊
I think the shock of seeing myself postpartum got to me and needed to vent somewhere. My main focus is my baby and enjoy my last addition to the family, and to nourish her. I am breastfeeding her, had a quick natural birth. Will see doctor at 6 weeks for all clear to exercise.
Thank you all 💜
Many blessings to you all.
