yay you indeed!3

My arms didn't get tired while braiding my hair this morning and a 'heavy' box felt like it was empty, great motivation to keep at it!13

Had to go into the office this week. Needed to wear "nice" clothes, so I threw on a dress and thermal leggings. Not only could I tighten my belt tighter than I thought, but I found I have a nice hourglass shape forming.22

My partner and I were up late last night (actually early this morning- 1:30am bed time) having deep conversations about the future of our relationship. My nsv is that even though I had a sleep in until almost 7, I still got out and went for my jog. It’s summer in Australia and the mornings heat up pretty quickly, but thankfully this morning was a pleasant 27°C (80.6°F) and the humidity was only 79% so I didn’t feel like I was going to die from heat exhaustion 😂20

Rona finally got me :-( My NSV is that I’m not going to let it derail my exercise goals and will instead just scale back to some simple yoga today21

My goal for the month I have been in Germany was just to maintain my weight loss so far. Well, I am going home tomorrow and have actually lost 13lbs.! I live in Florida so am leaving my too big now winter clothes in Germany. Flying home much lighter than when I arrived. Excited to have more control over my food when I get back to cooking myself.27

Being able to buy clothes pretty much anywhere and not having to use specialty stores for large people. Went from a 3X shirt to an XL or L shirt and from 54" waist pants to 42" waist. Feeling good!25

Yesterday I went through my closet and a few old bins of clothing. I now have 2 large bags of larger clothes to donate. I can now wear all my older clothing in a smaller size. WOOHOO 😂😂20

A few more NSV's for this week:
-I have a knit sweater that I bought years ago. It didn't fit well but I loved the style. Today, I ran out of sweaters and decided to try it on again-- to my surprise, it fit perfectly! I'm planning on taking some pictures in it today.
-Kind of a downer victory, but my boyfriend broke up with me on Tuesday and, even though I had some higher calorie days with lots of greasy and sugary foods, I stayed in my deficit and kept my healthy habits in place rather than spiraling into emotional eating.
-I wore makeup the other day and realized that I didn't need to use as much contouring because I have actual cheekbones now40 -
Got back on the elliptical yesterday after 2 yrs.... felt good, ended up staying on longer than I intended and wasn't dying when I got off. I will be jumping back on today!17

My "skinny jeans" from several years ago now require a belt.21

@Lora2380
Congratulations on the Elliptical. I too got on mine a few months back, when it was pouring down rain and I couldn't walk outside, after not using it for 6-7 years after a bad broken leg. It is my go to exercise now! I stay on it a long time but I don't get sweaty anymore! I'm in much better shape now!8 -
Got up this morning for a session of couch to 5k, even though I’m hungover. I even nailed the 20m run 👌🏾18

I haven't posted here in a while, but I'm always reading your awesome NSV's. Keep up the good work everyone!
I finally have an NSV today. I ordered an iced coffee on my way to work (one of my worst weaknesses). I took about 3 sips, and now I want nothing to do with it. Bring on the water, please!18 -
I noticed this week that my morning bike commute seems to be a little faster. Afternoon one, too.
It ~seemed~ to get a little slower in the fall, but that was an anomaly. There's a shortcut through a field by my house that cuts about between 40 and 90 seconds off the ride. I can't take it once we get wet weather. I was back to my short-cut time a couple days this week even though I had to take the "long" way around.16 -
I did fifteen minutes on the mini pedaler as a warmup before my weights workout. When I started that would have BEEN the workout. And I wasn't tired afterwards.25
-
Back for another NSV. I dunno if it was my outfit today, or just the dawning that I'm so close to my first 20 pound milestone, but I felt and looked thinner to myself. I even confidently took a full body picture that I felt good about

My gardening/hiking pants were loose today. These are pants that I've had for a long time that usually fit "just right". The fact that they got almost too tight to button is part of what got me on the current weight loss journey to begin with. Now they are loose. I can't really wrap my head around that.

This is sort of a NSV but it does have to do with my scale. My fat % is no longer high but moderate. (Even though they arent very accurate) Next one down is normal, which I'm longing for, eventually.14

Today's NSV was that I ran around the park with my dogs. When they went outside and saw it had snowed, they got excited and wanted to run and play. Back in the day, I would have been straining to pull them back and get on task, but now? I took off running with them and we had a lot of fun playing in the snow before heading back inside.23

Did my favourite walk in The Lake District (UK) at Easter. The first part normally takes about 1h40mins with at least two stops because it's so steep and I am so out of breath, I'm also usually shattered half way round the walk back. This year I did the first part in 38 mins with no stops at all and completed the rest of the walk with energy to spare. I was a very happy lady indeed that day.
That is absolutely brilliant! You must be so chuffed! xx8 -
2 people commented on how long my legs are today. No one ever seemed to notice before.12

@RosyBest
Yes!! isn't it wonderful that dropping weight can drastically (in my case) lower blood pressure!! And a pulse rate of 51 too!
Good for you!9 -
Today I had to move to a smaller belt hole! It's the little things that make me smile!18

Yesterday (MLK Day in USA) in NW PA it decided to have a 17" snow storm. I had the day off from work so I decided to do some meal prepping. I had a friend who needed some medical supplies, so I went out (thank you landlord for shoveling my long driveway so I could get my car out). I decided that as long as I was out and about I would stop at the gym and do my regular routine. I amazed even myself.18

Finally broke 30 mins in a 5K run on Sunday.
Ran a 29:22 in 19° weather!22 -
V proud of myself! Went to Olive Garden for my daughter's birthday, at her repeated request I checked the menu for any options I liked (went with Shrimp Scampi), only ate 1.5 breadsticks, had extra salad without croutons, and only ate about half of my own pasta so I could have a few bites of my daughter's birthday dessert. That came in at about 800 calories. That's big for a dinner for me at the moment, but as the average per-main-course calorie count at Olive Garden is about 1200-1500 calories, I'll count it as good. And for the day, I was only about 125 over my calorie goal. Yay!24

I had gotten to the point that I no longer could wear XXL and had to start shopping at stores that exclusively sell plus size clothing. Selection was terrible, the clothing was terribly put together, and insanely expensive!
NOW, I can shop anywhere I want to again AND I can buy XL clothing and it fits me every time - I even recently bought some clothing in the juniors section in XL and they fit. Woohoo!!!
I am on my way to that dream pair of jeans at the Express!!17
