Hi I am susan and am starting this today

I am going to start eating less calories today and work out daily and be positive keep thinking I can lose weight

  • Welcome Susan and congratulations on your new journey. Staying positive is a great place to start. I spent 30 years on the yo-yo dieting hamster wheel before I finally learned how to maintain my weight loss (2 1/2 years and counting) and focused my masters degree on the research done on weight loss maintenance so I can learn what to do differently to maintain my success.
    I highly recommend being mindful of your thought process and the things you say to yourself (and others) about what you're able to accomplish. For example, I used to say that I was good at losing weight and even better at putting it back on, but I sucked at maintaining it. Well, guess what, I stayed bad at maintaining it until I changed the script in my head.
