Success last night.
Yes, I ate late, but that's because that's when supper came out of the oven. I had a bunch of Yukon Gold potatoes that needed to be cooked, and I tried an experiment of something I've never made before. Pretty easy, and used my Dutch Oven.
I could have eaten it all. I went back for seconds and then a little more, but I saved about half to reheat tonight. That's the success. I was able to tell myself that I wasn't hungry really, and in fact I'd get fuller, and I just wanted to keep eating because delicious. But I didn't. Yay!

In September I went to the doc for a cough and my normally normal B/P was up, so was my weight. When I saw her in October, my B/P was not as high, but she still wanted it monitored. I had started back on MFP 10/1 and had lost about 5 lbs. I promised her I'd lose more weight, and if my B/P didn't come down, I'd consider meds. At that point she looked unconvinced and told me not to be disappointed in myself if it didn't work out. I went in 1/4, and not only was my B/P down, my weight was also down 17lbs on her scale (only 15 on mine which is what I follow). She was more excited than me. I've still got about another 15 to lose, and my next goal is to get off my low-dose cholesterol medication.26

I'm not eating past 8:30 PM anymore and noticed that I've been sleeping better. Better sleep means more productive days and great workouts.22

Actually went jogging during TOTM. Normally would never push myself working out, and in the past hated running, but it didn't feel like such an endeavor. Didn't go as far as I usually do, but my mile time was decent and I'm proud of that.20

I'm not overthinking about food all the time anymore. I fit my old "skinny" pair of pants again. My stomach isn't one big blob anymore but it's starting to shape up again. My back rolls are shrinking. Can't wait for the moment they aren't there anymore.24

I have owned these shorts since I was 18 (I’m turning 34 in March just for an idea of how long I’ve held onto them. They are an AU14. When I bought them I deliberately sized down because I was fed up with my size and wanted to motivate myself to lose weight. Over the years I have never entertained the idea of parting with them as I always had faith that I would fit in them someday! It’s only taken me the better part of 16 years to get there, but they go on. They aren’t quite a perfect fit yet, but they are getting there.

I am sitting down and crossing my legs without discomfort. It has been YEARS!21

I was wearing a crew neck t-shirt with short sleeves and a co-worker commented, "Dude, you are ripped!". I tried to brush it off but that was the best compliment I have ever received. I should go buy him a house or a car I think.39

Tossed a bunch of worn out, holey sock and underwear this morning because I realize I deserve nice things. Not that I didn't 45 pounds heavier, I just didn't believe it and didn't think it mattered34

It was 4 degrees (F) this morning, -4 wind chill. So instead of a two mile walk with the dog, I did a 2 mile jog. Stayed much warmer and got back home more quickly. lol
Then felt so much more energy that I was able to jog in place for several minutes when stuck outside later for a fire alarm evacuation.
I have just restarted my journey, but I'm finding that I am getting back to old healthy habits pretty quickly.20 -
Bought some Spyder sweaters at Costco in large for daily use and medium for jogs in cold weather. I actually wear the mediums more often for daily use. These are definitely not forgiving on size so the medium fitting comfortably with an undershirt and jeans is definitely a surprise. Actually used the large for todays 46 degree jog. 🤣12

Lost 66 pounds and have kept them off for 2.5 years. I've bounced around with a few pounds on and then taking them off again but I am steady and still working hard--because I will never be "Fat Kaitie" again--I refuse.
Anyway: NSV's:
1. Today is day 900 of logging my food into MFP.
2. I went shopping for some new clothes and I look great in a size 2 jeans--jeans!!
Wahoo!! Go me!36 -
I've been cooking up a storm. This is a NSV because I have been using a boxed service for so long. I forgot how good a home cooked steak can be.20

About two months ago, I started going to the pool for water aerobics. I put on the only swimsuit I had and it kept riding up uncomfortably. I figured it was because it was a cheap suit from Costco and I needed one for a longer torso. Fasttrack to Thursday, I wore the same suit and it doesn't ride up anymore. I guess I didn't need a longer suit, just a narrower body23

I went for a stupidly hard bike ride today on a route I'd never have attempted in the past in summer on my nice light bike, let along in freezing temperatures on my heavy winter bike. And I survived without holding the group up too much. So proud of myself!26

Not completely non-scale but as of this morning I'm overweight and not obese! 'Healthy weight' here I come!36

I can now reach both feet to put on my socks and shoes without having to use a sock helper and an 18" shoehorn!24

I'm back in one of my favorite shirts. It is GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!18

Two NSVs: First, I meal prepped like crazy this weekend. Homemade pizza (thin whole wheat crust, minimal cheese, lots of veggies and ground turkey), stuffed peppers, and shredded chicken taco meat to go with corn tortillas. Basically, the healthier, homemade versions of stuff I like.
Second, I have mastered the art of putting socks on while standing up and bringing my foot up in a tree pose. This is vital when you have a puppy with aspirations to be a professional sock thief, but it also shows how my balance has greatly improved as I've worked on my fitness.25 -
I work in an elementary school. A student was walking behind me and said “Hi, Mrs ____”. I’m not the teacher she thought I was but I was flattered she mistook me for her. I used to be a lot larger than Mrs ____.19

It was a 3 mile walk @ 4 mph day and decided I’d jog a 4th mile. Well the sweats had been fine for the walk but 1 min into the jog they almost fell off. The NSV moment was actually that I kept my pace at 6.5 mph pulled up the sweats and tide them at least for not to fall off for 1/2 a mile. Good enough.. Inside on treadmill13

Last week I set myself a goal of maintaining a pace of less than 7 minutes/Km on my 5K jogs for the week. Happy to say that I made the entire week, then yesterday morning I told myself I could take it easy since I had hit my goal from last week, but during my first 500 metres that “easy” pace felt uncomfortably slow, so I picked up the pace and managed to stay under that 7 minutes/km pace. It’s exciting for me that even though staying under that pace seems hard sometimes, when I tried to go slower it felt uncomfortable, my body must be getting used to the bit quicker pace- YAY!14

I'm really proud of myself today. Bf picked me up from work, and asked me to order fast food because he wanted to go and work on my car straight away.
We ended up ordering Chinese. While he worked on the car, I did his laundry and did a workout, even though we were at his parents. Normally, I would have used not being home as an excuse to slack off. In the end, I was barely over my calories for the day despite the food choices19 -
Today I was able to get up off the floor after my workout without hanging on to anything to help me up!! Small victories :-)30

I was able to get a beautiful tattoo on my chest (my first) and not worry about whether or not it would stretch.9

I've always fit Lee Jeans best regardless of weight, so I own them in many sizes. When I started losing weight in Jan2021, I wore a tight 12. Today I put on a brand new size 4, and it fit perfectly. At age 51yrs, this is the lowest size I've ever worn in these jeans, and it's not just vanity sizing because they're smaller than some older 6s I have.
Honestly, I'm still in awe that these are my jeans, but the photo says it all. The top pair I wore for July 4th 2021 in size 12. The bottom pair I'll wear tonight for class.

Decided to take measurements today to see if there had been any body recomp since the scale hasn't gone down in a while. Only change was my chest is up an inch!17
