I actually put on a pair of low rise boot cut size 6 jeans (non-stretch) from my closet. Zipped them up too! I can't wear them though because of my flabby belly hangs over! But I still looked really good in the mirror.15

I tracked everything I ate today, even though I binged22

Not immediately recognizing myself in a photo, LOL!!!15

I looked at security footage of me having a mishap this morning at work and for the first time noticed the muscle in my arms, shoulders, chest, and upper back!15

I don't post stuff very often on the open feed. I mostly comment on my friends successes and send messages. But I decided it is time to post something for all. I have been a member here at MFP since Feb 2013 and to the best of my recollection I have only missed three days of logging in. I have had much success and many failures while here. I often say to my friends that I am an expert at losing weight, but I'm even better at gaining it back. I have been doing very well for the last 6 months or so. My motivation is strong and I am being successful. In January I had a great month of losing weight. February was not so good. My exercise burns and calorie consumption in February were similar to January. But the scale did not budge. So the other day I decided to try on a pair of Jeans I bought several years ago and have only worn about 5 times. They fit perfectly. No even a bit too tight. I decided to buy a pair with a two inch smaller waist to have as my goal jeans. Brought them home, tried them on and they buttoned relatively easy. Maybe a bit tighter than I like, but definitely a pair that I could wear. Holy crap. They were a waist size I haven't worn in 35 years or more. I decided to measure my waist. Even though I hadn't lost 1 pound in February my waist was down an inch and a half from my January measurement. I then decided to try on my goal shirt. It fit perfectly. No pulling at the buttons when I sat down. Unbelievable. Three huge NSVs even though I had no movement of the scale. I know we all want to see the scale number drop, but there are other things that indicate we are being successful. Here's to continued success for me as well as all the MFP members.43

I was training a new employee today. We were chit chatting about random stuff and at one point she was trying to describe a friend from college. She actually used the words "skinny like you" to describe this person. She had no idea how hard I have worked to get to the size I am and to be told I was skinny (like it was normal to use that word to describe me) made me feel fabulous.25

Hey all! I love reading these NSVs
Yesterday was, without a doubt, a bad day. I couldn't even remember all of the things I ate, and I was so so uncomfortable when I was in bed. Rolling around in pain, wishing for a massive fart or vomit or something to take away the pain. Where's the NSV?? I realized today that yesterday was my first binge day that I have had in all of 2022!!! I used to have a binge day every other day, then down to once a week, then down to once a month...and before you know it, with a lot of work and fixing my relationship with food, I've gone more than two whole months!!
I guess this opened my eyes too, to see what I am capable of. Perhaps I can go three months! But really, fixing my relationship with food and breaking some of my old habits from childhood are a big part of this. I am so happy!29 -
I'm in size 14 pants! Vanity sizing for sure since some of the other size 14's are way too tight, but the ones I have on fit perfectly. What!!! And I look down at my newly polished toenails that were so easy to paint. While the weight loss has slowed a bit, my body is responding in other ways.17

I've had a lot of stressful things thrown at me in the last month or so. It's been a *kitten* month. Anyway, I just realized that NOT ONCE have I sat down with a bag of chips or crackers or even chocolate to deal with it. The farthest I've gone down this road is, "I don't want to eat veggies right now, I really want some salt" and then proceeded to have a less-than-healthy snack that was weighed out and was within my calorie goal.
As a lifelong stress eater, this is a big deal. This gives me hope for future maintenance.27 -
Had to choose between the medium and small shirt. Small shirt came home with me.23

I found some chocolate at home (I don't keep chocolate at home, as it triggers me to eat it all. I'll only eat it when out of the house or bring in a single portion). I didn't want to eat it, no will power required, just not interested.17

I know I just posted literally yesterday but I have another one!
Today was the last day of mine and my husband's two month workout plan and WE FINISHED!!! No skipped at all, and even did doubles on some days!! I am so proud of us for sticking through this. I think I am going to take a week now for recovery, and he is deciding to rest too or restart. I've had a few programs where I make it through to completion, and it's always such a source of pride! WE DID IT!! 🥳🥳22 -
Yesterday morning I got up and did couch to 5k after a big break. (I went on holiday and then have been fighting a nasty cold and a struggle with motivation). However, I jogged my 25 mins with no real struggle so I guess my body holds it’s fitness okay which is nice21

I just returned from a 10 day visit with my sister in Florida.
- The seat belts on all the planes fit with room to spare
- I was able to fit into several pairs of shorts and capris that were much too tight last summer.
- I was able to climb a 76 ft high observation tower without being out of breath and my legs didn't burn at all before I reached the top.
- I saw some friends that I haven't seen in awhile and they said "wow, you look great"!28 -
Although my weight hasn't really dropped much, my cholesterol level has dropped from 238 to 196 in the last 5 months. Walking on the treadmill and trying to eat healthier seem to be paying off.29

I haven't posted in a while. I really fell off the wagon in February - mostly due to vacation. I hopped back on the scale on the 1st of March and wasn't impressed. After a week of doing a few exercises, trying to log and failing, and eating not so great food, I dreaded getting on the scale again (I do a weekly weigh in and a monthly challenge).
Today's NSV is that even though I dreaded it, I got on the scale. I knew I had to hold myself accountable for any damage done, instead of just trying to ignore it. And I was pleasantly surprised - I lost some! Probably just water weight from my period ending, but still!29 -
I’ve managed to start doing weights again, my shoulder feels much better though not y recovered from the injury yet. I’ve added exercises for my lower abs which are great. But the biggest NSV is I’ve got hope again that I can get a good six pack! 👍🏻19

I wore one of my pairs of goal jeans today - the first time they’ve fit since before the first lockdown in April 2020. A bit tighter than I’d like when sitting down but still okay 🙂 now there’s just the other pair that have no stretch at all in them to conquer 💪21

I got called skinny today!20

We were out late last night, way later than my usual bedtime. But I got up this morning and was in the gym mostly on time and did some weights 😊 I always look and feel best when I lift so I’m pleased to be back19

Yesterday I started eating a banana, but got half way and didn't really want it anymore (Pretty sure I was eating through boredom not hunger) So I put it in a tub and then ate the 2nd half for breakfast today.25

I got my first comment from someone we know about how I've lost weight. I know most people don't like to bring up the subject because it can be a sensitive one, but it feels good to have all that hard work recognized once in a while!21
-
Today is my 365 day logging streak! I've lost 4 stone, I'm around halfway through I reckon. Excited to see what the rest of the year brings!29
-
I actually pulled out my size 14 jeans last week and they fit. I'm feeling much more sexier22
-
This one was kind of unexpected, but I ordered shoes in my usual wide from Amazon, however when I received them, they were much too big and had to order the normal width.20
-
Today I got to train my trainer14
-
Finally felt comfortable taking a shirtless pic...albeit from behind lol14
-
I have cheekbones!19

I managed to do 10 squats without holding onto the kitchen counter. I have had to use the counter for assistance for 12 weeks and yesterday I was able to let go and do 10 complete squats. A major victory for me.
Such a huge success!! I am trying to work on legs so I take stairs two at a time w/o holding on! Took a little bit to get there but I did it!! Would like to complete the Pikes Peak in Colorado in April!!!12 -
I have to buy new belts! I'm on the last notch and it's not tight enough!17
