    Low-145 5/1/18
    Goal 147
    Subgoal - 154 by 7/1/22

Had gained some weight back, then injured my knee and had to stop running. Started packing it back on. I'm two weeks out of knee surgery, so it's gonna be a while to be full force again. Discouraged would be a good description

Tried a few times in 2021 to get started again but only latest a few days.

Well today I am back. Any support will be very welcome.

@blshuffl1 Maybe reframe your discouragement into "This bump in my road can't stop me!". Another thing I found out was to focus on diet more than exercise because I'd have to walk 5 miles to burn off 500 calories. It was much easier for me to eat 500 cals less per day. Of course you want to exercise when you can, but if you can't, know that you can adapt your diet/exercise ratio to still make progress.

    You've got this!

@kellyswimmer thank you for starting this thread. I only came into it in late 2021, and someone else was running it at that time. I've kicked off the past handful of months. Posting here has definitely helped me stay on track; I don't think I'd still be losing if I hadn't been doing this.

Hopefully with those of us currently posting, you can feel like you're getting back on track and see success with it. Welcome back![/quote]

@kellyswimmer Everyone has ups and downs - that's life. I try to think "tomorrow will be better" and it (usually  ) helps. Maybe try changing one thing about your diet at a time, like slightly smaller portion sizes of food for just one meal a day. Keep up the baby steps until you're comfortable with it and it will become a habit you don't have to think about any more. If that doesn't work for you, try something else until you find what works for you. Tomorrows will get better.
